Grayson POV

Reading through the forms in my office, I was getting a headache and my heart really aches to get my mate by my side. I'm 24 years old and I still haven't found my mate, most people find their mate on their 18th birthday but not me. I still remembered how I cried in my mom's arms on my birthday, saying how the moon goddess forgot about me. That is also why I became so merciless and heartless. The only people who are not scared of me are my parents and my beta. 

There is a rogue runt running towards the boarder alpha, one of my warriors mindlinked me. 

Send him to the dungeons, I replied angrily, there had been more and more rogue cases this days, they are taking advantage of the fact that I have yet to find my mate and that I would go insane soon. 

Um... Alpha, she shifted and fainted near the boarder and it is a girl, the same warrior mindlinked me. 

Send her to the dungeon, when she wakes up tell the beta and send her to me. I commanded before closing my mindlink, I really needed some time to myself before I actually go insane. I really wished I found my mate and to have her in my arms. I promise that when I find her, I will treat her like the queen she is. 

Time skip... (to when she wakes up)

K. Send her to me. I replied through the mindlink shortly and got ready, I wanted to get this over quickly as quickly as I could. I went down to the throne room and got ready. I took a deep breathe and smelt a scent of strawberry and vanilla, it was so heavenly. I looked towards the door where the scent is coming from when the guards came in carrying the rogue rather easily, it didn't look hard to carry her as she is so skinny and short,  which makes sense as she is a rogue and rogue can't find food very easily as most of them are killed. But the weird thing is that the scent is coming off her and that my wolf was running circles in my head for the first time in a long run. 

It was then when she looked up at me in my eyes and then when I finally understood, she was my mate. 

"Mine" I growled lowly, I looked at her and saw all the scars on her tiny frame. She was severely wounded and looked malnourished. Whoever did this to her is going to pay, and it better not be one of my pack member or I will personally make his life a living hell, I'll torture him till he is begging for forgiveness which he will never receive. I looked up at her again to see her starting to collapse , I quickly ran up to her and caught her in my arms, I immediately felt the sparks go up my arms. 

"Get the pack doctor now!" I growled at my beta as I got her in my arms and to our room.
