My back was searing with pain when I blinked twice and looked at how Randalf tried to shred my wife’s face with his claws. Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion and my body was too shocked at what happened. I never thought, never imagined Holly would use the power of the pearl when she already knew the consequences of it. I thought she understood my fear of losing her if she sacrificed herself. But all I could do was blame myself for not being strong enough.
After losing so much blood from the fight, my strength slowly depleted and my wolf body evaporated into a dark smoke, transforming me back to my human body. I grunted. Every inch of me was screaming with pain and all I could do was grind my teeth and push myself away from the debris.
