“Alec, please take Holly to the barracks. Tell your men to help me carry Evander back to the infirmary and make sure to calm Holly down or the power of the curse will totally consume her!” Mel screamed, her eyes full of despair, just like the rest of us. But there was determination in there. She wouldn’t let my husband slip away. I had to convince myself Mel would do anything.
“I wouldn’t let him die, Holly. I swear to you, I will do everything I can!” Mel promised me with her eyes glaring with reassurance. “Now go with Alec! I need to focus here!”
