  Aisha's POV   I hadn't slept.   Not really.   Even with the bond pulling gently at my chest like a string tied between hearts, I had stayed curled up on the far side of the bed, staring out the window while Simon pretended not to watch me in the dark. We hadn't spoken since our argument. I couldn't yet bring myself to close the distance, not until trust felt whole again.
