SILENT YEARNINGS

CHAPTER FOUR

CRYSTAL POV:

We came back to our mansion by midnight and I was glad to be back home.

Every staff was shocked to see me in a tattered wedding gown and veil. I couldn't balme them. I got married and divorced on the same day. It's a surprising day.

We stepped inside and was shocked by the amount of food on the dining table. It was huge. Different delicacies and different types.

Estrella was mesmerized and walked towards them and placed a pea in her mouth. She looked like a well fed baby with a huge smile on her lips.

I laughed at her expression and my dad chuckled too.

"You girls should freshen up. Come down for dinner after. I have work to attend to." my dad said as he headed to his study with my uncle.

Estrella grabbed me and we ran straight to the room. We always shared the same room since we were young and I never complained.

She opened the door and immediately collapse on the huge queen sized bed.

"Today is a day to go down in history"she said as she rolled around.

"Yeah. Did I do the right thing?" I asked usure of my actions.

She looked at me and smacked my head gently "Get those thoughts out of your head. You did well. Don't overthink your choices" she instructed as she hugged me from behind.

I took deep breath and relaxed against her.

"Let's take a bath. You need to look fresh and we have a feast to finish" she said enthusiastically. I laughed at her excitement. She always chose food before anything,that was her character and I loved her for that.

We finished bathing and she wore baggy shorts with a loose crop top while I wore shorts and a baggy shirts. She left first to "Pick a good spot".

After scrubbing and trying to remove every inch of Harold touch on my skin. I finally finished and headed downstairs.

I paused at the stairs for a minute when I saw a maid carrying my former step-mom things. I didn't bother to intervene and continue going with a free smile.
