I was seething furiously when Beta Kent was busy smiling at my father. He was probably having the time of his life song that his opinion was taken into consideration.
I was angry that Beta Kent brought up the topic of my marriage. It was none of his business. " Please excuse me, I'll be retiring for the night," I said.
My father nodded subtly and I rose and exited the office. I overheard the Luna saying, " Why is he angry?" She asked.
The party ended at almost five a.m. in the morning, and I decided to come downstairs to have a drink. " Are you okay, sir?" A maid appeared at the doorway, interrupting my solitude.
I glared at her and she scurried away. I was stewing in my anger when I heard footsteps. " Drinking will not solve your problems." Alpha Darius said.
