Mad Man

After the call, Gabriel's face became dark because of anger. He glanced at Anna who was looking eagerly at him. He hesitated for a moment.

"That was my secretary..." but he was immediately cut off by Anna.

"I don't care anymore. Please... if you have urgent business to take care of, go on. Please." she pointed in the direction of the closed door.

Then she went on opening her laptop while she was sitting on the couch. she reviewed the Summer collection brochure submitted by her team. She purposely did it just to ignore Gabriel on the side. Although she appeared to be eagerly looking at the designs, her mind was in a mess.

Gabriel looked dejected. He stared at Anna with a sorry look. Then came a flash of anger in his eyes as his jaws tightened. He kissed Enzo's forehead then grabbed his keys after wearing his jacket. He left the room without a sound.

After Gabriel left. Anna heaved a sigh. Although it's been three years, the pain was still there. Maybe not because she still loves Gabriel but because she loved and trusted him back then. She knew that not long after they separated, Gabriel and Mandy broke up. The sudden appearance of the woman is like a force that scratched her scabbing wound and makes it bleeds again.

Although she has Matthew and she loved him, her painful memories still haunts her.

Gabriel went to a bar later. He booked their usual private room and his usual orders. Not long after, Anthony came. Anthony is his best friend along with Ryan. They went to the same university together and became close friends since then.

"Hey man!" said Anthony and they fist bump.

Anthony is about 1.8 meters tall with a neat looking handsome appearance. His clear brown eyes and pointed nose were his best facial features. He also maintained his fit physique even after many years unlike Ryan who gained a little weight after marrying a chef.

"Where's Ryan?" Anthony asked looking around.

Gabriel just shrugged his shoulders indicating that he has not yet arrived. He continued drinking his liqour while staring blankly and looked gloomy.

"Hey, man! What is it? Spill the beans, come on..." Anthony urged Gabriel to share whatever the news it is that he called an emergency and urgent meeting of the three of them.

"Is it still about Anna?" Anthony sighed. He still remembered the time when the marriage of his friend fall apart. He witnessed how Gabriel broke that time.

He was caught by Anna red handed. Anna later threw him out of the house as she and Enzo also left the house and sold it. Mandy grabbed his money and left with her lover.

The annulment process also was difficult for his friend. Even he begged and asked for Anna's forgiveness, all his efforts went in vain. He then resorted to drinking. He even neglected his company and he went almost bankrupt. With the help of their friends, he slowly got his feet on the ground and started to be productive again.

Now that he called this meeting, he was worried as to what was his problems again. He noticed that he looked so doomed while drinking wine like it was just water.

After a few minutes, the door of the private room opened and a handsome man with height was similar to Anthony but with a slightly bigger body built, entered the room with a frown in his face.

"Hey guys. Sorry, I am late. What's up?!" he greeted the two sitting on the couch. He glanced at the two friends and frowned a little more seeing Gabriel feeling dejected.

"As usual. What would we expect.

You were not you if you come on time, dude!" Anthony tapped Ryan's back as they had their brother's hug.

While the two were hugging, Anthony whispered, "He's down, man." Ryan immediately understood him.

"Hey, Gab! What's up, man?" he said while tapping him on the shoulder.

"Hmm..." Gab just hum in response.

Anthony poured Ryan a drink. Before Ryan could drink it, the door of their private room suddenly opened and someone barged in.

"Gab, baby!" a woman with a coquettish voice suddenly came running towards Gabriel. She was beautiful with delicate features but with heavy make up and strong perfume. She was wearing a very short red body con dress with a deep V plunging neckline. Even her nails were painted red.

But before she could even get to Gabriel, she immediately stopped by the deadly stare of Gabriel. Then Gabriel stood up and slowly took steps forward to the woman.

"What are you doing here?" he grabs the woman by her chin. Based on the force he used, grabbing is an understatement. Then he gripped her neck with his callous right hand.

"What are you doing here, Mandy?!!" Anger in Gabriel's voice and if looks could kill, Mandy would be dead by how Gabriel looked at her.

"G-Gab... B-ba..by.." Mandy is almost choking by Gabriel's grip.

"Don't baby me, b*tch! You don't even have the right to call my name!" then he pushed her violently to the couch.

"Don't come near me again. If I see you again, I swear, I will k*ll you myself!" Gabriel's voice was frightening.

Mandy was immediately frightened. She alertly stood up on her feet and unconsciously pulled her dress down.

"Get lost! Now!" Gabriel shouted.

Startled, Mandy ran as fast as she could to the door to escape the raging Gabriel. But before she closed the door, she said.

"I will wait for the time you will come looking for and begging me, Gabriel!" then she shut the door with a loud bang.

"B*tch!" said Anthony. He couldn't believe his eyes about how Gabriel turned into a mad man just now. Well, he couldn't blame Gabriel. Mandy was the reason behind why Gabriel and Anna broke up and their family fell apart.

However, although Gabriel is his best friend, he could not put all the blame on Mandy. Gabriel was equally responsible for that.

Gabriel, on the other hand, was still in his rage. He drank his wine in one go and poured another after another. He was thinking about his past. He may be angry with Mandy but he is angrier with himself. He allowed himself to be fooled and cheated on his wife.
