Second Chance With The Lycan Prince

Chapter 4

Dina sleeps for a week before she gets back to work. By the time she wakes up, only Aurora sits beside her bed, telling her that some kids picked flowers for her, but they're grounded by their parents again. Dina can't help but ask about the new couple, only gets the news about their engagement.

After a bit of silence, she realized she can only get over it. She doesn't have anywhere else to go or other relatives, her life also counts on the thin salary. It's not a big deal to take eye rolls from other werewolves, as long as no more accidents befell her.

”Ouch...“ Aurora's moan interrupts her recollection, Dina looks down at the injured arm with concern, Aurora got hurt in the fight with other maids.

"Aurora, you don't have to protect me if it gets you hurt. They didn't say bad things to my face. " Dina coughs because of the rejection symptoms, coughs while saying, "Besides, they're leaving with Princess Charlotte soon."

"Those bitches should go to hell, not you. You're the angel."

"They shouldn't push you into the garden. Thanks to moon godess, the broken fences didn't blind you." Dina is too tired to correct the curse. She sighs as bonding on Aurora's arm with herbs, slowly convincing herself to put up more trouble till Aurora finishes high school here.

"Ugh, I wish you were there when I pressed their faces into flower mud," Aurora pshaws, "They cried like babies before left. If I were there when their master hurt you, I'd also kick her ass without any doubts. "

"Well well well, even Omega has her servant. What a crazy world! " A sacrism breaks the peaceful moment. Princess Charlotte arrives in the kitchen, barricades them in the corner. "Little rat, I heard that you hurt my maid, right? "

Aurora takes the chance to bite Princess' hand to get her let go. Princess Charlotte screams and they start wrestling with each other. Meanwhile, Dina stands between them, trying to stop the fight.

In chaos, Charlotte pushes Dina against the cupboard, blood runs from her forehead and covers her eyes immediately. As Dina feels dizzy, she dimly sees Princess approaching Aurora, with something sparkles in her hand. Princess keeps moaning, "I'd cut your face off first, little rat, then the stupid b***h who dares to dream about my Sebastain. Enjoy your miserable lives from now!"

Aurora dodges the first attack, a hard scratch was cut on the wall. After that, Princess Charlotte attacks even more fiercely while inquiring Aurora. Aurora kicks her stomach and crawls backwards according to her intuition, but there are only walls. The blade moves angrily forward to Aurora again.

Dina doesn't have any time to consider. She jumps beneath Princess Charlotte's feet, intends to become a flesh shield protecting Aurora. Princess Charlotte is tripped, gets even more furious and keeps beating Dina instead, but luckily, the knife is nowhere to be found.

Version darkens, blood flows into the eyes before it starts to feel warm. Maybe there's indeed something bright about the rejection symptom. Dina thinks, at least, it paralyses some senses, and even the beating of spine was less painful. She holds Aurora tighter, with each additional beating that falls on her, Aurora will be safer.

"It's okay, it's okay.....we'll be alright....." Dina whispers into Aurora's hair, tries to stop her from struggling and painful crying. She repeats and repeats, with all the slight moans of pain, her words nearly become into the lullaby she used to sing for baby Aurora.

Princess Charlotte, the royal member, glorious, arrogant. A finger can pinch them to death at random. They can't fight back, Aurora has already hit the princess, and if they continue, Princess would definitely put them to an execution. If Dina is patient enough, puts up with the pain, it will pass eventually.

The room becomes so quiet. Her blood drips into Aurora's light brown hair, dyeing them into a sticky dirty color. Dina realizes the beat on her back slows down gradually. "That's fine. " She murmurs to Aurora, the views in her eyes keep shaking, "We can get the blood stain out, then your hair will be soft and smooth again..."

Dina only feels her body getting heavier and heavier, not sure if she finishes the sentence before falling unconscious.

As Dina slowly opened her eyes, the world around her was a blur of color and movement. Her head pounded with a dull ache, and her body felt sluggish. She took a few moments to realize herself lying in the middle of a muddy field outside the pack gate, the rain drenching her to the bone.

They must've thought she was dead and got rid of the worthless omega body as soon as possible.

Dina struggled to sit up, felt a sharp pain from the deep gash in her leg. With tears welled up in her eyes, she remembers crying from Aurora before she passes out. Aurora must be terrified. Will she get punished? Or worse, will they execute her because she fights back at Princess Charlotte?

She has to get up and find her way back to Aurora. Slowly, she takes deep breaths to steady herself, tries tentative steps forward in muds. Each step was a struggle, the rain making it hard to see. When she approaches the heavy pack gate, she barely holds herself still.

She knocks on the iron fence but nobody answers, there's no way to break in either. Just as Dina is devastated, a team of guards switches their shifts. Among them, it's the familiar wave of blonde hair. It's Sebastian!

He definitely remembers her. Also, he has the kindest soul Dina ever knew. Maybe he'd help her to see Aurora.

"Seb!" Dina has no time for manners, yells and waves her hand to Sebastian. However, her eyes meet the piercing gaze of him. He recognizes her, then walks directly toward her alone.

"Sebastian, please help me. Aurora, the little omega girl who's always by my side, do you remember her? " Dina rushes toward him and begs, "Do you know where she is? And did the Princess blame her for what happened before? Please, I have no one to ask and I could do anything to get news......"

"Filthy slaves." A slap interrupts Dina's begging. Instead of answering her question, Sebastian's voice is filled with cold contempt. "It took me 3 weeks to get the Lycan Royals' approval of my engagement. You bitches get that trump hurt, I almost lose my chance to go to the Palace forever. "

Dina freezes. She can hardly believe what she was hearing. To the palace, does Sebastian only use Princess Charlotte to fit into the royals? Did he manage to keep pretending to be the perfect gentleman all the time？

Anyways, Aurora's fate is the most important thing now, Dina asks with a more humble tone, "Please, Beta Sebastian, Aurora only wants to protect herself. We didn't resist any longer either, I swear..."

"Mindless. You omegas are worthless either way, why don't you just die according to royal trump's order."Sebastian looks down at her with disdain, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "At least, it's worth more than she being in jail and you being thrown out. Too bad, we didn't kill underages."

Dina's heart sinks, Aurora is safe now, but no matter how brave she is, how can an underage survive in hellish prison? The only man who might help Dina, is revealed to be an evil hypocrite. His kindness and politeness already gets all pack members' support, one day, he'd definitely replace the current Alpha without even a blink.

"You've been lying to all of us....." Dina moans, "You'll stab everyone who believes you in the back. "

"Nobody believes an expelled Omega." Sebastian sneers at her, and with a slight gesture, guards approach them, pointing the weapon at her. "Also, a dead omega can't talk."

Dina steps back immediately, escaping into the dark forest as fast as she can. Dina keeps running, feeling her life unraveling, all her hopes and dreams slipping away as she runs further and further from her home. Dina stumbled through the thick underbrush, blood oozing from the deep gash on her leg. Her heart pounding in her chest. Suddenly, a guttural growl shattered the silence, some rogues charging towards her.

Dina turned and ran, her injured leg screaming in agony. She could hear the creature hot on her heels, its breath hot on her neck. She keeps running till herself hopelessly lost in the labyrinthine tangle. Her injured leg had become swollen and hot to the touch, her strength was rapidly fading. If she can't get any medical help by tomorrow, she'd be dead here. Just as she gave up and leaned on some woods, some loud snarling and growling caught her attention.

Two packs of wolves burst a fight in the near clearing space, both sides were trying to kill each other. Dina hid in the bushes, wide-eyed as she finds one side with the royal sign. With the fear that Princess Charlotte and Sebastian might be chasing her to death, Dina led in the opposite direction. With her injuries, she was trapped by roots and rolled down a small hill, eventually fell into a river, unconsciously.

By the time Dina wakes up, she's already carried away from the fog forest.
