Rafe didn't wait to call Doc. He gently carried Isebella and placed her in the backseat of the car. Selene climbed in beside her, resting Isabella's head on her lap. Rafe got into the driver's seat and sped toward the hospital.
His penthouse was located far from any civilization so it took twenty minutes even with his speed to get to the hospital. Rafe's heart was beating with fear all through that twenty minutes.
He couldn't lose Isabella. She was all he had. She was his only family, his friend. He couldn't f*****g lose her. He would trade his whole empire, the billions of dollars he had, his own life just so she could live a healthy life, just so she could go outside and go to places and friends. Just so she could really live, not just exist.
