LENA POV The doctor confirmed that Isabella was stable and cleared for discharge that night. Rafe then carried her to his car, wearing socks instead of shoes. He gently placed Isabella in the backseat, and Lena climbed in after her. Rafe got in as well and drove off, leaving the hospital. From the rearview mirror, she kept a close watch on him. Relief was pouring out of him like a fragrance, though he tried to keep his face blank. He had thought he would lose his sister today.
