Dan Raven was a very gentle and good man. In the new world, he often aroused amazement among his new acquaintances by the fact that he did not know how to behave like a common normal city dweller. The young man often believed his first impressions and behaved without prejudice to the different types of Grossroads nations. The unusual arrangement of political forces did not excite the young Baron. But he noted an important point. The esteemed mouse, Frowny Nose, had marked with special expression the need for a Sanctuary for the humans. "Honorable Frowny Nose, the members of our party have an important mission from the gods. Each of us must find a place where we can escape death. You offer us your help. Does that mean you will show us the way to the place we need?" Raven wanted to clarify the main details of the quest that seemed most important to him. Questions of local politics and security could be dealt with later. "The young man and his friends can find peace in the Sacred Place of the Hill. But the young man does not want to understand the important truths he has heard," the mouse hissed and pointed his paw toward the orc. "The young orc must visit his ancestors. He will meet his destiny in Night Hill. And I am sure the vampiress will follow Lord Ragnar to receive the blessing of the Night's descendants. Dagmar of the Wanderer bloodline will be able to provide support for the elven girl in the Deepwood. I want to make it clear to the young man that now your funny group will break up. Everyone must begin to go their way." "So the towns of Night Hill and Deepwood have their special Temples for vampires and elves. Nothing out of the ordinary," Tom smiled. But he appreciated Mouse's serious tone and admitted the peculiarities of his companions. "I'm afraid that Baron Raven and Princess Elina have a special connection to Koreima. We're certainly not on our way with the elves, and that doesn't bother me. But I don't like this self-righteous vampire lord. His name is good but his behavior is disgusting." "He also has a good ear. You should not upset Lord Ragnar. Find better opponents for yourself," laughed the mouse. "Why is it that a warrior of the orc tribe did not come up to speak to me," Dhroll interjected into the conversation. His voice sounded unexpectedly loud and made the vampires and elves pay attention to him. "Guarding the bridge is an important mission. Fighting at the bridge brings added fame and benefit to the warriors. The orc is a good warrior and is busy with his duty. Soon you will be able to talk to this warrior yourself,"  Frowny Nose explained and decided to give new information to the newcomers. "We have all come to this world from quieter and more comfortable places. Our powers and abilities have been given a new development. In this world, there are no restrictions on killing opponents. Hunting citizens is as useful as hunting monsters." Dan did not immediately understand the mouse's words. The princess furrowed her brow and clarified. "Elves and vampires kill each other for fame and have no punishment?" The mouse laughed a peculiar hoarse laugh that reminded of a croak and answered the girl with pleasure. "Princess Elina, it pleases me to welcome young royal blood who is full of wisdom and the ability to notice at once the important features of a new phenomenon. Yes. Everyone has the right to kill everyone. At any time of day or night. Anywhere! The vampire's quest to the city of elves and gnomes is the most difficult mission in the Adventurers Guild. The Adventurers Guild of the Deepwoods has similarly difficult missions. The Community on the Hill does not welcome the struggle of nations. We are obligated to respond to the blows of the fame seekers. But the Hill never sends assassins to other cities!" "You mean anyone can try to kill me now?" Dan tensed at the new unexpected and unpleasant prospect of living in this place. "No! Now all of you are under the protection of the gods. You cannot kill someone who has passed the first test and defied his destiny. You have all proven your power and are worthy of respect. But when you become part of our society you will accept the new rules of life," explained Frowny Nose. Tom was always a great master at improving a friend's mood with an unexpected joke or amusing provocation. "Gentlemen, I thank you for your faithful service. Would you care for a meal before you travel to the fires of the home hills?" Tom patted one hobbit on the shoulder. "We are not savages to sit around fires. My ancestors built a glorious home with a big hearth long ago. But your offer is interesting. I want good beer and meat," laughed the hobbit. "A tedious walk. We are the best but those weak goblins proved too bad for us. We can only take comfort in a big gulp of beer from Master Dan," agreed the other hobbit. Dan quickly bought food for the hobbits and saw the princess smile when she heard the cheerful voices of the short braves. Even the orc nodded his head respectfully when he heard the words about uninteresting fights with goblins. Frowny Nose sniffed and nodded his head with satisfaction. The unusual creatures immediately piqued Mouse's interest. Now he wanted to know more about these unusual creatures. "Thank you for the important information, it clarified a lot for us," Dan thanked and asked his advisor. "Tom, what do you say about continuing our mission?" "Nothing out of the ordinary. Player versus player. PvP mode. Everyone has the right to kill everyone. Normal mode for most games. In the presence of the esteemed Frowny Nose, I can only say one thing. We need a new Zangar," laughed the clone. "We need it who?" Elina was happily nibbling on the apple the Baron treated her to. The girl had already realized that Algrin was having a very unpleasant and difficult conversation. Lord Darmar of the Wanderer family was facing them and was talking with the look of an important aristocrat giving orders to his servants. "That is a very good question, Elina," Dan smiled. "I am always ready to give you help and assistance. People should help people." "And will you help me gain influence and get my impregnable castle in this world?" Elina asked the question in a quiet voice but there was no hint of a request in it. The princess was clarifying the measure of this important and helpful man's loyalty. "Not another word!" Tom abruptly interrupted the uncomfortable subject. "The Baron is not prepared to consider matters of royal blood relations right now. Elina, we heard you." The princess looked at the clone with dislike. This noxious advisor had never been her supporter. She understood that a strong creature is incapable of betraying Baron Raven. But she did not like that the phantom was unwilling to stand boldly and honorably by her side. Elina felt well that to Tom Riddle she was merely a source of obtaining interesting missions and profits. This was normal for the behavior of an aristocrat in the palace. But courtiers have always been masterful at hiding their greedy and personal motives. Tom of the Abyss behaved independently and always prevented Baron Raven from doing the knightly thing. Elina did not like the news that everyone in this world has the right to kill each other. It was the kind of cruelty and complexity she did not want to face. Of course, the war between elves and vampires had its own rules and orders! But Elina had no supporters or forces to act as a worthy participant in the new war. And the nasty Tom wouldn't let the nice baron join the ranks of her supporters right away. "I think we won't hurt your lovely companions," murmured the mouse. His voice sounded with unexpected warmth. "Young Dhroll, you must wait and go with Mistress Koreima to follow Lord Vampire. Mistress Algrin will not be able to contradict Lord Darmar's wishes. There is no need to upset your good friends. I am ready to assist you and we can go now to a Sacred Place for the Community of the Hill. My magic will help us with that." "I want to talk to Algrin," Elina asked. "You are well done and have the right desire," Dan smiled. He winked at the hobbit and the two braves quickly hid the food and jugs in their strange inventories. Then the hobbits were gone because Dan Raven had cast the Sacrifice spell. The young man tried to encourage the girl who needed support in the new world.  "We will meet and exchange information. We will have to re-examine our relationship. But for now, I agree to accept the offer of the esteemed Frowny Nose. Algrin and Koreima and Dhroll will meet with care and understanding among their nations in the new places. The people must support the people. Lord Frowny Nose, as leader of the Black Flame group and agree to accept your help and will not forget it." "Very interesting," murmured the mouse and reached forward with his paw. Clawed fingers made a few movements and a hoarse whisper indicated new sorcery. At Frowny Nose's feet, a bright spot formed that shimmered with sparks of green. Dhroll was a smart warrior and took a step to the side to step outside the unusual magical area. "See you where it happens," Tom shouted before disappearing. The honorable lords showed no excitement as the mouse led part of the group away. Dhroll stood still and scrutinized the figure of the orc in the distance. The young warrior realized that he was in for a hard time in this world. Algrin suddenly felt grateful to the princess and the human. Now she must not be distracted and watch her every move with special attention. The princess isn't going anywhere and now Algrin must take care of her reinforcement. Koreima squinted her eyes and thought this was the beginning of a beautiful hunt.
