The Sacred Place of Revival

1831 Words
After magically moving, Dan and Elina found themselves in a strange place. Like any large settlement, the center of the location was a high hill. From all sides, there was a view of a large city. The center of this settlement was the Sacred Place where the locals could be reborn. Before the eyes of the surprised people was a strange square. Large trees grew in the center of the square next to beautiful large monuments. Many tall figures stood in the area. They were tall monuments that were made with great craftsmanship. Each figure was so large that the pedestal looked like a low but sturdy structure. "It's magnificent and amazing," exclaimed the princess. "I was even confused when I thought huge giants were living in this world." "I didn't mistake these statues for living creatures, but I'm surprised too. Dear Frowny Nose, you are undoubtedly a master of politics and government. You have managed to make a most reliable and significant impression on the guests of your Community," the young man said respectfully. At this moment the important mouse took off his hat. He did not hide it in his inventory. The mouse took the hat in his paws, and people immediately understood that this was due to the resident's deep respect for the important place. Frowny Nose was rendering a gesture of respect to the gods of this world. "Our Community is undoubtedly a society of the best craftsmen of this world. Our talents serve as a solid foundation for a peaceful way of life. But we must all respect and honor the gods of this world. Without their support, no one can survive and develop," grunted Frowny Nose. The mouse regarded the young man and the girl intently. He paid no attention to the fact that the third member of the group had disappeared. The Mouse's muzzle was unremarkable. He looked like an ordinary creature of the mouse bloodline. A rather large head on a thick, short neck had no long hair. The hair of this oldest Mouse was gray. Dan always liked the fact that mice were great experts at hairstyling and other hair grooming. The short hair on the mouse's head was trimmed and looked very neat and solid. The long nose didn't look disgusting or funny. Very respectable was the long mustache which gave his face a strange but respectable look. The elder's bright blue eyes produced an unpleasant pressure on the source of his attention. Dan felt uncomfortable and immediately dismissed thoughts of indecent behavior. The look in this ruler's eyes did not allow for improper behavior in his presence.   "I have had a great honor," smiled Frowny Nose. He pointed his paw toward the monuments. "Please turn to your patrons. May the gods continue to support your efforts toward development and prosperity." Dan suddenly thought about the fact that there are no monuments to the gods of humans in this place! Ars Obsessed with Battles was the universal god of warriors. In the city of Grossroads, the embodiment of the supreme warrior spirit had several forms. Dan Raven had never been interested in religions. But he had heard that Mars was the god of war among the ancient Romans. The Vikings had the god Odin. The young man calmly accepted the news that war had different incarnations in the world of Grossroads. The idea made a strong impression on him and Tom. Ars the Battle Obsessed was the embodiment of the combat aspect of any armed confrontation. Ars was highly revered by orcs and other warriors who couldn't imagine life without fighting. But most of the great masters of weaponry were not stupid warriors who could only think of battles in dungeons. In this strange world, weapons were an important part of the power and served as a basis for the development of leadership abilities. The princess immediately understood what she needed to do. Her family had a patron and in this new world, she needed to thank the Goddess who had helped her through all her trials. Elina walked slowly toward the magnificent statues. There were no such magnificent works of art in the city of Grossroads. There were statues of gods in temples and castles. They were very beautiful and expertly made statues. They were not too large. The princess paid respectful and reverent attention to the figures of the different gods and goddesses. She knew all the divinities very well and immediately recognized those who watch over the order of this world. Dan Raven did not stop the girl. He looked at the important mouse and realized that he had to finish his quest. From the very beginning of contact with the inhabitants of this world, Dan was annoyed by the inability to see other persons' names and designations. He was used to some of the comforts of the game. It was strange but in this world, it was hard to hide your name! If you didn't use disguise skills then all your actions were in plain sight! This way of life dictated a special order and attitude toward identity. To Dan, the inscription of a high level mattered little. He viewed the inscription as an indicator of a player's quality. But to all the townsfolk of Grossroads, level nineteen was a rank that spoke of a person's solidity and dignity. In any case, the young man wanted to get through the local registration as quickly as possible and be able to know the simple fact for sure again. He wanted to know who he was dealing with. Dan looked at the map and saw that a familiar symbol appeared on it. A dungeon entrance symbol always appeared on the map if a player approached an important location. The young man quickly enlarged the map and froze in admiration. There were no figures of the gods on the map, but each pedestal for each of the gods had a different color and shape. Dan immediately saw that he had to go to the place that was marked on the map as a miniature scarlet sword. The young swordsman hurried to the necessary place. Now he could easily navigate on the map. Soon he stopped in front of a tall statue of a mighty warrior with a big sword in his hand. The statue was several dozen meters high. And Dan couldn't get a good look at the facial features of Ars Obsessed with Battles. But the young man was sure that his patron was not smiling. The figure of the god wore armor. Dan saw with admiration that this armor was made by great blacksmiths, and it was the very real pieces of equipment! They were not decorative ornaments or imitations to add beauty to the figure of the god of war. Dan quickly unsheathed his sword and bowed to his patron. "Thank you Ars Obsessed with Battles. All that I have been able to do and all that I will do in the future is because of you. I hope you will not leave me in this new world," whispered Dan Raven. He felt no influence or special sign from the god figure. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. A message from the game system appeared before the player's eyes, a message that had long since lost its magic and originality.   [Congratulations! You have completed the Obligatory Staying Alive quest. Quest Details: Stay alive for 24 hours. Find the revival point. Reward: Possibility to be reborn. Revival Point is available to you. Do you wish to accept the revival point? Yes/No. Have a nice game!]   Dan Raven quickly accepted the opportunity to return to life. He felt strange. He felt pleasant and also very sad. Such moments of existence as life and death in this world were turning into something strange and had a special quality. Dan had not stopped appreciating life. He was not afraid of death. The young swordsman tried not to think about high theories and the meaning of life. He liked the way of the swordsman. He became a warrior. But that did not make him a military man or a player in the guard of order. Raven was well aware that he was at the beginning of his journey. He doesn't have to think about important and great questions. He must develop his abilities as a warrior. Has Grossroads ceased to be an interesting place to learn? Wonderful! Dan was able to move on to a new place to continue his adventures and development. There was a soft sound next to him. Someone was sniffing and it sounded funny in this solid place. Dan turned his head and saw a young vampire. It was with great joy that Raven was able to recognize the resident.   [Rudolph. Vampire. Level 27]   Den froze in anticipation of his development. Level twenty-seven! The young man remembered that Tom had strongly advised against playing with level upgrades. You can't just use up your experience reserves like that! The clone had respect for the value of level. He saw the world differently than a human. To throw over numbers of experience points is easy. But you will have to answer the locals for this deed. The swordsman frowned and thought that the phantom decided at the wrong time to play invisible scout. In a new place, advice and support were needed every minute at the start of the journey. The vampire was not embarrassed by his behavior but stopped sniffing in the direction of the unfamiliar young man. A faint smile appeared on his handsome face. "An unusual warrior has arrived in the Community on the Hill. You have been marked by the Child of the Night. My name is Rudolph. It is not customary in this place to praise belonging to a clan or an ancient bloodline. It's a pleasure to meet an unusual warrior. This is the first time I've seen a human. You look more handsome than an orc. And your blood is more attractive, too," the vampire stopped smiling, and a shade of red appeared in his dark eyes. Dan Raven immediately noted that he had met a warrior, and the vampire's long, a narrow sword made that clear. The young man had time to think about the fact that in this world everyone is willing to kill the first person he meets. But he also remembered that in this place it was not customary to attack the first person you met with a demand for a duel. In any case, this was a Sacred place. Here one could not behave like a savage or a brute. The young man nodded his head and greeted his new acquaintance. "My name is Dan. I have the honor of being a good acquaintance of Lady Koreima. We arrived in these lands today from the city of Grossroads," the swordsman introduced himself politely and calmly. He couldn't help but smile. "I am glad Koreima finds my blood attractive."
