The Unclear Purpose of the Princess

1658 Words
Dan didn't have time to learn the new peculiarities of vampire existence. Princess Elina approached them and made a loud statement. "Baron Raven! The Goddess Bri has spoken to me! I have received guidance from her. I may need your help," Elina quickly admitted. Her eyes shone with the fact that there was an important new deal in her life. Rudolph reacted strangely to the appearance of the new persona. The vampire froze and regarded the girl with eyes full of lust for possession. Then the vampire tried to use vampire magic and set his mark on this lovely creature who smelled so delicious and attractive. But the ancient magic did not respond to the vampire's efforts. Rudolph frowned, and his handsome face took on the expression of a child whose toy had broken. Rudolph tried the ancient magic again. The princess felt an unpleasant sense. She thought someone was trying to tickle her neck. But the touch was unpleasant. Elina had received excellent lessons from her mentors Koreima and Algrin. She had been warned about the different manifestations of various powers. The princess looked at the vampire and expressed her displeasure at such unseemly behavior. "Baron Rudolph, you are behaving unworthily. You are rude and insolent. You can't use vampire bonding magic so insistently and brazenly," Elina suddenly smiled unpleasantly and with superiority. "Now you know I'm not affected by special vampire magic." "I haven't been called a baron in a long time. A title means nothing in this world. You managed to surprise me. Elina. Human. Why can't I know anything about you? A strange creature with a strange resistance. I don't like the way you treat my actions," the vampire replied seriously and defiantly. He wondered what his new acquaintances would do. "Rudolph, we'll discuss resistance to vampirism another time. Right now my acquaintance and I have a serious conversation," Dan interjected into the talk. The vampire laughed and shook his head. "Today you have the right to be in this place in peace. Tomorrow we will meet as rivals," Rudolph nodded his head and walked away. The princess snorted in annoyance. "You can't be left alone for a few minutes. You always find unpleasant acquaintances from whom you get nothing but trouble in the future. What will you say to my suggestion?" Elina looked at her knight with a sweet smile. "I cannot answer yes until I have heard concrete statements. You have received guidance from the goddess Bri. I roughly understand what guidance is. What do you need to do? In what way can I be of service?" Dan began to clarify the situation. There was no notification from the game system in front of him. After the princess's statement, he did not receive an offer for a new quest. With Ellina, life was a little unusual because this person of royal blood was undoubtedly a special person. "I must establish my kingdom," the princess whispered. Her eyes sparkled again with the prospects and adventures ahead. "I want you to help me." Dan Raven was standing there, unable to understand anything. He heard the exact and clear concrete definitions of the request. It was not a hint of a quest. The princess was offering him a mission. But the world did not confirm her words! Dan froze at such an unclear inconsistency. "I don't know what your words mean," muttered the young man. "I don't know how to establish kingdoms. You are of royal blood, and perhaps you have special knowledge in this matter. You can tell me something clear. What must we do? Please remember exactly. Perhaps you have received a certain mission from the goddess?" "You're behaving very badly. Why won't you help me?" Elina frowned at the swordsman's behavior. The young man did not want to act like a faithful and trustworthy helper. "I don't know how I can begin to fulfill the goddess's request." Dan Raven smiled and tried to soften his abrupt and honest behavior with this sweet girl. The princess seemed useful to him and had a strange property of drawing attention to herself. "Perhaps you should wait and life will tell you how to proceed. I understand nothing of kingdoms or politics. But my experience tells me simple facts. You need a place of power. A place like a palace or a castle. Elina, what do you think of the need for contact with the local leaders? There is a council of elders or other respected persons in this Community. It seems to me that your interest might cause them concern," the young man remarked. Life in this world has taught him to look for a quiet corner in which to feel safe. "To begin with, we need to find a suitable hotel to stay in. Or buy a small cottage." The princess did not like it when her demands were not respected. She had lived in the palace for a long time and yet always had restrictions. This obnoxious baron acts like a stern mentor from Grossroads! She planned to speak to the local lords and clarify matters of policy and government. Baron Raven has already proven incapable of being an authority on these matters. The brave and lucky warrior had expressed no desire to help! This unpleasant news did not please the girl. Elina could not dare to make a clear proposal to this mysterious young man. She feared he would refuse to give her the Oath of Allegiance and Service. "I can live in the Temple of Bri. It is a worthy place for me. I need to think about contacting the local council of lords," Elina said. "Tom has asked me not to stray too far from where I arrived. Now I must go back and listen to what our experienced scout was able to learn. Believe me, Tom knows how to learn useful news quickly. Are you coming with me?" Dan offered the girl his company. He hoped that if the princess was around he would get the exact quest. Raven was used to acting as a player. There is a mission. It takes effort to complete it. No mission? No need to rush in and get into other people's problems. "Let's go and find a place to eat and clean up. I want to take a bath," Elina expressed her humble desires. She had already learned that Counselor Tom always has an important opinion to which the Baron listens. The young people were walking to a familiar place and were having a conversation about vampires along the way. "That nasty vampire Rudolph wanted to make me his maidservant! Fool. His vampire charms and persuasion don't work on people like me. Have you forgotten what Koreima did to you? Is that why you're not ready to take my side completely? " Elina wanted to make the baron uncomfortable and show her coolness. "'Koreima is bound to find me. And I like that. We're going to need allies in this world. I can't take your side. I already have my side. Princess Elina, I'm not ready to betray. I can be your temporary ally. But my interests are too important to me," the young man answered honestly. He wondered how Rudolph and Koreima would meet. This vampire seemed powerful. It wasn't about level. Koreima had enough experience to raise his level. The vampire was very familiar with the local circumstances! Dan wanted to use the Phantom summoning spell immediately. He missed Tom. The top of the big hill was occupied by the Sacred Place. But beyond that began the usual residential areas. The young people came out into a small square and saw that Frowny Nose was determined to complete his mission to the end. The mouse approached and greeted the new residents of the Community with a smile. "I hope your life is more peaceful now. I want to offer you a meal in a decent place. I recommend it. Decent rooms for a modest fee," the mouse pointed his paw toward a low house. The sign attracted one to come in and rest. The mouse's face on the sign smiled friendly and confirmed the name of the establishment. "Master Grey Claw's Cozy Burrow. I like the name," Dan agreed. The mice knew how to make delicious food that pleased the player with its bonuses to the attributes. "Will I be able to take a bath in this place? We've spent some time camping," the princess asked quietly. "Undoubtedly and necessarily! All favors for the good citizens of the town," Frowny Nose confirmed. "I will not deceive you, dear Frowny Nose. I trust no one and do not wish to become a trusting creature. I am a warrior and you will forgive my rough habits. But mice always delight me with their dignified and friendly treatment. It is my pleasure to accept your offer. We have questions for you and hope for your responsiveness in helping the newcomers," Dan Raven nodded gratefully at the helpful and influential citizen who wanted to continue the acquaintance. Frowny Nose's behavior was clear and beneficial to him and the princess. "I hope the gold coins of Grossroads have value in your Community," the young man expressed his excitement about solvency. Dan had already looked for a moment at a local auction and saw that common gold coins had been accepted as the means of payment of this location. "I remember my homeworld with excitement," laughed the mouse. "It has been a long time since I arrived in this place. Many changes have met me but gold always remains gold. I'm sure you are not short of funds. And I am ready to help you with advice to develop as reliable and worthy citizens of our Community," murmured the mouse. The young man thought that the venerable mouse would not like the news of the princess, who intends to arrange a government renewal in this place.
