The Princess' First Fight

The spiders were no longer an enemy with unknown properties. The clone looked at the pair who were raring to go into battle. "Who wants to test their strength first? Oh, I forgot I was dealing with respectable individuals. The question was misplaced. Baron Raven is a good boy and will always let a lady go first." Elina jumped in place and swung her sword. She strode forward with a beautiful gait that resembled a dance. The clone whispered to his friend. "Be careful, boy. She's a real badass. And she has plans for you." The young man gazed at the figure of the young swordswoman with pleasure and was ready to help with the healing of the princess. In the new circumstances, his magical prowess gained an important advantage. The power of the magic ring gave the young mage the quality to cast spells. The power of a spell is meaningless if you can repeat it many times in a row with no problem! All spells lost power in damage but as before they had no recovery time. Dan could use ten small bursts of healing in three seconds. He wasn't worried about Elina's health. She had become interesting as the bearer of a promising quest. The player didn't want to just kill monsters and forge items. Nor did he want to act like a warrior in a permanent meaningless war. Dan nodded his head and gestured the clone toward the princess. He had no particular plans, but they could appear at any moment. This world often showed its ability to surprise. Elina was a bad student. She knew her weakness. The girl had no respect for her teachers. To her, all mentors were mere chests of knowledge. She valued knowledge but not those who taught her such subjects. The princess never showed that she was interested in any particular subject of knowledge. She listened to lessons in magic and management with equal displeasure. But she appreciated the knowledge itself. She had an excellent memory. In the darkness, in the distance, a shadow moved against the wall. A dark cloud of a simple Earth School spell flew from the girl's hand. Slowing down is something you should always use at the beginning of any fight. Controlling your opponent is the first step to victory. Elina rushed toward the spider and swung her sword to strike. She easily dodged the spit in her direction. The vile spider spits out a small clump of the web to prevent the victim from fighting back. When the web hit the victim's body it sputtered out into a multitude of long, strong threads that prevented her from moving the body freely. Arms and legs could not move easily and the warrior turned into a weak opponent. The spider had not yet had time to raise its large torso to prevent the warrior from reaching the monster's head. The princess quickly struck at the paws that reached out in her direction. The movement of the light sword was swift and deft as Elina struck first one paw and then the other. Her short blade allowed for quick and complex fencing. With each strike, images of the desired technique flashed in the girl's mind and she saw the color of her sword's metal change. Her mind could not keep up with the speed of her body. The light sword flashed very quickly and repulsed every possible attempt by the spider to attack its victim. The monster attempted to spit a new clump of webbing in the face of the short figure. A blinding flash flew off the princess's hand and struck the animal's muzzle. The spider didn't realize that it was already dead though it could still move. In one of the first magical attacks elf apprentice used a disgusting spell Seed and inside the monster was already going nasty reactions. The spider hissed and made loud screeching noises. He could feel the bones breaking and the meat tearing inside him. An unknowable force was penetrating his body and ripping through all obstacles. The spider could no longer control itself and could not escape. The large body sprang upon its strong and thick hind legs. The four clawed front paws began to attack the princess in an indiscriminate attack. She found pleasure in the fact that she had to expend her strength to repel the monster's many attacks. Fencing was Elina's favorite pastime. Fencing always gave her a special satisfying feeling. The girl noticed nothing but her opponent and confidently led the fight to victory. Behind her, two men were watching and ready to intervene in the duel. Dan noticed how one paw managed to reach the princess's body and a sharp claw struck hard on the shoulder pad of her armor. "Take your time," the clone said quickly. "She needs to develop a resistance to poisons." Dan looked in amazement at the advisor who made the strange recommendation. "You can always buy poison in town and practice developing resistance in a pleasant and safe environment. Why torture her?" Raven did not want the girl to suffer for anything. "Poison doesn't bring torment. Look how skillful she is. Her skill with a short blade inspires respect. Too bad her techniques don't do much damage," said the phantom. "But she throws too many blows. Fast is slow but steady," the young man remarked. "Take your time treating her! I'll go ahead and find a monster for you. You, too, need to check out what this world has done with your skills," commanded the clone and ran forward. The nimble and quick figure easily jumped over a couple of obstacles in the form of spider legs. Tom did not interfere in the fight and never once hit the spider that fell prey to the princess. Elina didn't have time to be surprised. At this time the spider finally died and its body stopped resisting her attacks. The big disgusting corpse disappeared and two small objects were left on the floor of the cave. The trophies were pieces of ore and small pouches of poison. But the princess no longer cared about the trophies or her victory. The girl felt the pain of the poison spilling over her body in a burning stream. "Ouch! Dan, it's stinging! I'm poisoned. Help me quickly!" Elina didn't understand why the baron was looking at her with a smile of admiration. "Great fight. I never stop being surprised by your skill. But I don't envy it. Too complicated fencing techniques I don't like. And your damage is small. Congratulations on your victory. You're awesome. Can I carry your trophies?" "What trophies? Treat me fast, you lazy bastard. I wasted a lot of energy," the girl even stopped feeling pain with indignation. "Resistance to poison is important. Get used to living frugally. Poison costs gold coins in the city. A good spider has shared a gift with you," the young man quickly picked up a pouch of poison and a piece of ore. Then he noticed that Tom was frozen and waiting for him. "I'm about to have an exam, too. Watch how real men fight." "You're not a man! You're greedy and weak," Elina shouted. She wanted to kick the nasty baron, but the young man had already run away. The girl wanted to watch him fight. Her left arm hurt a lot. But suddenly Elina realized that the pain could be tolerated. "This savage understands nothing about resistance to poisons. I have a spell that increases resistance to poison," the princess muttered. She hadn't liked poison resistance training since she was a child. She'd had a lot of nasty stuff to drink in her life. Suddenly Elina remembered how her mama had comforted her and told her to endure the pain inside. The girl ran up to the clone and kicked him in the leg. "I'm in pain! My hands are burning inside me," Elina whimpered. "I have good resistance to poison. You two savages from the wild world! In the palace, all the courtiers have been drinking poison in small portions since childhood. The children are looked after by magicians! I want you to cure me. It's not fair!" Tom looked at the blonde in surprise. Then he laughed and turned away toward his friend who had spotted the spider. "Don't play games with me now. The spider only succeeded in poisoning you once. Don't want to endure the pain? Help yourself. Did you feel the reinforcement from killing the spider? I got a very little experience. My wild world has its understanding of the process. I only got a hundred and eight points. You might as well kill three zombies to get a hundred experience," Tom shook his head. "It's a good thing we're taking our time to gain experience." "Why are you taking your time to gain experience?" Elina wanted to know more about her assistants. "I don't see the value in it," the phantom admitted. "Resources matter. In this place, we can develop the skills of a blacksmith well. And the drawings in this place shouldn't be of much value. As I level up, I will be forced to kill more dangerous monsters. I don't see the point in that. A piece of ore from a black spider is no different than a piece of ore after defeating a more dangerous monster. Look at Dan! This coward imagines he can rely on the power of his magic for everything." Elina saw how Baron Raven began his fight. She knew he was an amazing magician. The princess was good at noticing the emotions on the faces of her acquaintances. Her experienced mentors Koreima and Algrin did not hide their envy of this amazing man's skills. Swordsman Dan decided to show off in front of her and used a few spells to put on a demonstrative first fight.
