Dan and Tom Level Up

1503 Words
The two friends were dealing with the difficult question of their capabilities and prospects in the new world. They had received enough information to adopt a plan of action to develop Dan's character. Tom was delighted that they had the opportunity to do an interesting quest and talked about his impressions of the meeting with the Community Counselors. "I hope you have enough strength to survive the news and don't rush off into a new world in search of ghostly freedom," smiled the clone. "The overall situation is simple and for most of the local nations, it is understandable. But for you, it's complicated. This is the first time you've encountered the fact that you cannot decide anything. To put it crudely, this location completely expresses the deprivation of free will. Some gods have openly established their power for the first time!" "Freedom is a complex and beautiful fantasy. I am not ready to think about such serious things as gods and freedom. Some force stripped my civilization of habitual life. It was a powerful enough phenomenon. I'm okay with being a slave to the game in a small way. I'm completely dependent on the trappings and all sorts of game skills. I don't have to think about it. I'm comfortable accepting those facts. What do you think of our prospects in the princess case?" Dan did not show any frustration. He never knew how to think about serious things. All this philosophizing and deep thinking didn't concern a young man who was just starting in life. He was an orphan and he did not care about the difficulties he had to overcome. He did not expect an easy life from the old world. He was now a player in a strange game and readily met new difficulties. "They are cautious. While you and I solved our problems in Grossroads, only seven teams that we rescued from Zangar Castle came into this world. And all have very good reviews of your abilities. You are not feared, but the local authorities are worried about your power. They are happy to show us the way to the dungeon that leads to the next level of the big game. The local councilors have made their concerns clear. The princess has been given a mission by the goddess. That is worthy of respect. But you don't have an assignment from Ars. I calmed the politicians down and frankly admitted that we have no intention of crushing and breaking the local order," said the phantom. "The right words. I was happy to have the title, but I could live without the title. I felt bad about being the owner of Zangar Castle. We can't play a game-like strategy to develop the castle and the household. We don't enjoy doing politics and other complicated things related to governance and control. But I don't see the benefit of rushing into Destiny's dungeon to get into a new world. We should get the most resources and benefits out of this place," Dan was willing to play by the rules of this location. "Great! We have an important question before us. Are we going to level up? I'm willing to speak out in favor of this path. And I insist that we need to change the distribution of attributes. We have a huge advantage over the other players. Two rings give you a huge advantage in attributes. We need to maximize the Strength. Damage matters," the clone began a new theme. "Wait a minute! Let me get this straight. Do you insist on going up to level thirty-nine? I understand that twenty levels are a lot. Are you sure we can handle the dungeon monsters? It's important that we destroy monsters as quickly as possible to improve our fighting skills," the boy clarified. "Don't forget your main feature as a player. You have a Legacy as a magnificent me," Tom spread his arms and tried to give his face an expression of perfection and smugness. "Now you get nineteen percent of my accomplishments. I insist on doubling that number! Forty-one percent in your favor! We'll be able to develop our fighting skills in half the time. We'll need to kill half as many monsters. Either way, we win. And the twenty-point bonus for allocation to attributes is small and unimportant." "Are you sure we won't lose when we face stronger and more protected monsters?" Dan understood the importance of developing the phantom spell. In two days of using this skill, they had changed the statistics of the spell. The spell had a 15 percent development rate. The friends didn't understand what the development of the skill depended on. In the dungeons, Dan didn't spare any mana and began to use this spell constantly. Tom demanded to renew it after every monster he killed. But an accurate count of the number of summons did not yield accurate information. Dan made over two hundred summonses of the new clone. They determined that one hundred summonses produced a recovery of one percent in the development of the Phantom spell. But it also took into account the transfer of achievements from clone to the player. This point wasn't clear, but it was good to see it in the game. "Dan I did a careful analysis of the properties of all the monsters we met in this game. At the dungeon level, we encounter monsters that gradually show an increase in attack and defense power. On our side is my ability to often apply the killing power of the patron skill. All calculations state that we are capable of suppressing any resistance in the dungeons. About the duels, I am confident. What worries me is the perfect magic performed by the ancient players. Once they find a way to reveal your invisibility you run the risk of finding yourself under a powerful attack. It could be a mental attack or other mysterious magic of vampires or elves. These are very insidious nations. Honestly, both mice and gnomes scare me. All have quite powerful and mysterious magic," the clone was seriously concerned. "We're lucky that the clone summoning spell isn't treated by the game mechanics as a combat spell," Dan agreed. "We took a risk and we got a win. No more showing our rage and our desire to prove our strength. I've never liked duels. I don't want to have players behind me who hate me for their defeat." "Let's go shopping. We need to buy some new things. You need some new armor. Level up! And renew me. I want you to check out your new capabilities. You're too sloppy and incapable of understanding information from me right now," Tom continued to play the great and powerful game expert. Dan opened his character development panel. He had enough experience points to increase his level. Dueling with three opponents proved the fact that this method was good for gathering game experience. He took off all of his equipment to see a clean model of his character. The player raised his level to the maximum in this location.  The change in stats didn't cause much discomfort to his body. But Dan felt weak and clumsy. He thought for a moment that he had lost his mental clarity. It was a strange feeling. The picture in front of his eyes was pleasing in its simplicity.   [Character: Dan (Human) Affiliated Location: Earth  Title: Baron Profession: Swordsman. Blacksmith. I suggest we take a risk and raise the Phantom skill level at once with these points," Dan suggested. "Don't be nasty! Renew me!" Tom threatened his friend with a fist. "Be my guest, I don't mind spending ten mana points," laughed the young man and cast the phantom spell. "s**t and hell! Tsunade's majestic boobs and Merlin's beard! In the name of Harry Potter's scar, throw twenty points into the Phantom skill. And maximize the Strength. Damage is of the utmost importance to us right now," Tom asked. Dan didn't argue and quickly spent the available points to increase the Strength. It was easy. He had two million experience points left and Dan immediately used his entire reserve to develop the Phantom spell. Free skill points should be saved! All the experience was enough to raise the skill to level 27. Dan spent 12 skill points and was now able to play with a level 41 clone. He was sure it was the right decision. "What are you waiting for? Do my renewal!" Tom wanted to experience a new experience. Dan quickly spent ten mana points and summoned a new clone. The moment the new clone appeared next to Dan he also felt renewed.
