Mum, I'll be taking a trip to Los Angeles tomorrow. Please help me inform dad. I'm done with my project at work and I want to ease off my stress.” Karen Charlottes mum sighed, “What of the conversation I told you we'll have?” “You know that I have been looking forward to having a conversation with you about your love life, but it seems like you're not ready to talk about it.” “Mum I told you we'll talk about this later but you chose to bring it up again.” "Okay, okay, baby girl. I won't bring it up again. I just want you to be happy, and if taking a break in Los Angeles is what you need, then that's what you should do. Just be safe, and don't forget to stay in touch. Your father and I will be worried about you if we don't hear from you regularly." Karen paused, then added, "But, sweetie, can I just ask you one thing? Are you sure you're not running away from your problems instead of facing them? Charlotte rolled her eyes . "Mum, I'm not running away from anything. I just need some time to focus on myself and figure out what I want. And besides, I'm not getting any younger, but I'm still young enough to take a break and have some fun. Can't I just have that without you and dad worrying about my marital status?" Karen smiled and nodded. "Okay, baby girl. Go ahead and have your fun. But don't think you're getting out of this conversation that easily. We'll talk about it when you get back. Mum was Charlotte's closest friend and her confidant, so mum knew ninety percent of her life. Her likes, dislikes and even her friends. Mum was even aware of charlotte's choice of a man, But mum has always objected to her idea of getting married to a middle income earner, in the claim that the richer guys are proud and arrogant. But it seems Charlotte is very resolute about this. Dad doesn't like the idea of marrying a low class man he didn't want his only daughter to marry a low life. “I think this break is all I need now,” Charlotte murmured as she walked into her room and slammed the door behind her. Charlotte always loved traveling and now it is a trip to discover a lot and think too. Charlotte had always been drawn to the sun-kissed streets of Los Angeles, and she finally got the chance to embark on a month-long adventure in the City of Angels. She packed her bags, grabbed her camera, and set off to explore the vibrant city. She arrived at the four seasons hotel in Los Angeles. She stepped out of her hotel and onto the sun-kissed streets of Los Angeles, she was immediately enveloped in the cool breeze that seemed to carry the essence of the city. The first thing that struck her was the breathtaking view of the Hollywood Hills, with the iconic sign standing tall and proud in the distance. She felt a thrill of excitement as she gazed out at the sprawling city, taking in the glittering skyscrapers, the bustling streets, and the endless stretch of palm trees that seemed to sway gently in the breeze. As she walked along the famous Rodeo Drive, Charlotte couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer luxury and glamour that surrounded her. The high-end boutiques, the upscale restaurants, and the sleek cars that cruised by all seemed to whisper tales of a city that was truly one-of-a-kind. Charlotte sat on the patio, sipping her coffee and watching the world go by, she couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for someone to share this experience with. Suddenly, a thought popped into her mind “what if I meet someone special here in LA? Someone who shared her passions, her sense of adventure, and her values? Someone who would sweep her off her feet and make her feel like she was home. She imagined herself returning from her trip with a handsome, charming, and kind-hearted man by her side, not the rich, proud and arrogant men she met in Florida; she wanted someone who would make her parents proud, and her friends green with envy. As the sun sets, the city transforms into a dazzling display of twinkling lights, with the sky turning pink, orange, and purple hues. The view is simply stunning, with the city's skyscrapers, hills, and valleys illuminated by a million lights. As the stars begin to twinkle in the night sky, the view of LA becomes even more magical, with the city's lights and sounds blending together in a mesmerizing display of energy and excitement. Charlotte returned back to her room and her dinner was served already. After eating, she settled into her plush bed, pulled out her journal and began to write by the soft glow of the bedside lamp. She titled it "Day 1 in LA" "Today was my first day in Los Angeles, and it was everything I dreamed it would be," she wrote. "The city is so vibrant and alive, with an energy that's infectious. I spent the day exploring the city, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling streets.” Charlotte's mind wandered back to the cool breeze that had caressed her skin. She smiled to herself, feeling grateful for the opportunity to experience this beautiful city. "I also had the most delicious dinner,” she continued to write. "The coffee was rich and bold. I felt like I was in a little slice of heaven." As she wrote, Charlotte's thoughts turned to her desire to find someone special in LA. She wrote about her dreams of meeting someone who would sweep her off her feet, someone who would make her feel like she was home. "I have a feeling that this trip is going to be life-changing," she wrote. "I'm not sure what the future holds, but I'm excited to find out. As she finished writing, Charlotte felt a sense of contentment wash over her. She closed her journal, turned off the lamp, and snuggled under the blanket.
