Nala’s POV.
“We’re going home today,” I say to Genevieve unenthusiastically while she zips up my dress. She pauses mid-way and looks up at me in the mirror.
“You didn’t think you stood a chance against Stephanie, did you?”
“I knew it from the start but I just don’t know how Father would react to it when he finds out.”
“It doesn’t matter.” She zips me up and proceeds to dress up my hair, “what happened last night when the Alpha called you guys in?” She asks.
Last night… my thoughts trail off as the memories of my conversation with the Alpha return to me. We were not supposed to have that discussion last night but the Alpha made an impromptu decision and at the end of the girl, one of us is sent home.
