I saw her sitting behind her table the moment I walked out of my office. Theo was already outside, readying the car.
Estella instantly stood up and smiled at me.
“Can you tell Detective Lynne and Axel that I won’t make it to the meeting?”
“Sure.” She smiled widely, making me furrow my eyebrows.
She was giving me a weird look as if I had been caught red-handed.
“What?” I asked slowly.
“Trouble in paradise?” She wiggled her eyebrows.
