In a world of fairytales, women expect their Prince to come and save them. But she couldn't sit and wait for her hero to make an entrance. So, she becomes her hero instead. She became. ?"THE REBEL"? .................................................... 17 years later "Is this the right place?" A young girl asks another as they enter a clearing in the forest. Their eyes take in their surroundings. The elder one looks at the map in her hand and nods, sure they are in the right place. "Yes. This has to be it. I was told I would find him here." They look around to find the place deserted, and their hopes flicker with every passing second. Tired of the past events and the long journey, they just wanted to rest. But how could they? Until they find him. The little girl tugged held her sister's hand desperately, and the elder looked down anxiously. "What will we do if we don't find the Rebel? Will all of us be taken away, Rosie?" The elder sister crouches down at her sister's level and holds her hand. "No, Amelia. We will think of something. Till your sister is here, no one will be able to hurt you. I promise!" They both hug each other, apprehension of their pack getting attacked tonight, very much alive in their hearts. Left in the lurch, they were going to return when they saw the silhouette of a person. Rosie called behind, making the person stop. But what they didn't expect to find was a young woman of 24 staring back at them. "Good evening. I am sorry for the interruption. But do you seem to know where Rebel is?" " We had some urgent work." The woman stared at them for a few seconds. Her hands were placed in her pockets, and a cap rested on her head, concealing her features. Her expression was anything but cordial, and she seemed to be irritated by their presence. "No" Came her cold, emotionless reply, and the siblings look at each other. Gulping, debating whether to ask her again or not. The woman proceeded to leave when Rosie called her from behind. "Please! We need to meet him urgently! We-" The woman scorned them while walking away, and they both decided to trail after her. She was their last resort; they had to convince her at all costs. "Hey! Listen! Stop! We are in a desperate situation right now!" "If you could help us, it would be great! Just tell us about Rebel's address, at least! We need to meet him urgently!" "Rebel's not here. You may leave." This was the longest sentence that left the strange woman's lips in the last 10 minutes, and the sisters were thankful. "Not here? Then when will he come back? We will wait!" The girl halted and peered at them over her shoulder, and that's when the sisters noticed a bucket of water in her hands. So, she was fetching water. What does this mean? They look up to see them approaching an old house made with stone walls. "Wow, Rosie! The house is so beautiful!" Amelia spoke this time, and the stranger couldn't help but stare at the 7-year-old girl with blue eyes. Her face is stoic as she stares at Rosie in coldness. Not bothered by her worries or the little girl's cuteness. "Please! We beg! Our pack is going to be attacked tonight! If we don't stop them, we all will be enslaved. I beg you, please! Rebel is our only hope..!" The girl gazed, lost in thoughts. And then nods at them slightly, making them beam in happiness. Opening her door, she shows them the way. "Come in." The siblings look at the interiors excitedly as the stranger places a cup of herbal tea in front of them. "I am sorry. My bad. Let me introduce myself. I am Rosie Edmond, and this is Amelia Edmont." The stranger nods, taking a sip of the throat-burning liquid. Inferring them to continue, not bothering to introduce herself. "So...we are the Alpha's daughters; we lost our parents..in the war a few days back, making me the next Alpha. But as you know...girls are not allowed to take over as Alpha; no pack accepts my position. Instead, they want me to merge my pack with other packs ...the Alpha of Redmoon pack is planning an attack on us...you must have heard of their reputation..they are the most feared pack in the world, and their Alpha is a ruthless, inhuman beast...the ways they e*****e the pack members...I fear the worst... please, I need to meet Rebel urgently!" The stranger's eyes held boredom and disinterest, not much bothered by their sorrowful story. Her calmness was frightening and uncomfortable for the sisters. "Rebel won't be returning anytime soon." "What! But it's very urgent! How will we...oh, moon goddess! " Rosie got up in hysteria and started pacing the room, wringing her hands in anxiousness while little Amelia sobbed. Rosie made an effort to calm her, but she wouldn't stop. The past events had been too much for her. Amelia was too young to have witnessed all this. The stranger stared at Amelia strangely; her tears did something inside her. Clenching her fists, she sighs to approach them. "Pack name and time?" She inquires, and Rosalie jerks up to jump in happiness. Unable to control herself, she leaps forward to hug the stranger when the woman's palm stops her at a meter distance. Asking her to stay back. "Oh...sorry." "Silvermoon pack....at ten tonight." Rosie's eyes glitter with hope like a rainbow drawn on a black mattress while the stranger nonchalantly nods at them and picks up the empty cups to place them inside. "Your work will be done." The stranger says, and Rosie shares a look with Amelia. "But you said Rebel was not here? How will it be done?" The stranger stops at the threshold, and her eyes snap up. Staring back at Rosie with a coldness that could freeze a man in seconds, her eyes convey her response. To not question her. Rubbing her head awkwardly, Rosie gives a fake chuckle and proceeds to leave, tugging Amelia along. "I am sorry. I am just very desperate for help...I appreciate it.If you say...we believe you..Thank you! Really!" "Close the door after you." The strangers replied as she dismissed them after that, cleaning the table and pouring the water into the tumbler, returning to her daily chores. Rosie was unsure if they could trust her, but who could they trust now? The stranger was their last resort. The only hope is to reach Rebel. The infamous wolf who is known to stand for justice. The only figure who stands for the support of women above everything. The protector of who they called the 'weaker half, if not better.' "You don't know how much this means for us! We are so indebted to you! Thanks.......Ms...." Rosie looks at her, hoping to get her name. But she continued to ignore them. "I am sorry...it's fine if you don't wish to share. I will take my leave then..." And then, when Rosie thought she wouldn't answer again, a cold voice whispered to her. "Vera" Rosie looks up at her in surprise to see beautiful brown eyes staring back at her. With a bow of acknowledgment, Rosie gives her a genuine smile. "Thank you, Vera. Thank you" .................................................. 10:10 pm Silver Moon pack grounds Men surrounded the 50 acres of land, determined not to let even a single soul escape the crusade that would follow next. Waiting for the orders of their seniors, they were ready to loot the territory of all its valuables. Call it treasuries or women. They were set to claim everything. With adrenaline pumping in their veins, they were ready to unleash their beasts on the innocents. On the other hand, Rosie was busy ordering every woman to reach the basement. It's the only place where they can be safe for some time, at least. Her eyes took in her warriors standing at the borders, and she already knew the fate of this battle. Bloodshed and cries. Struggle yet defeat. Her only hope was nowhere to be found, making dread settle in her stomach. In her heavy armor, she stood beside the male warriors. Ready to fight till her last breath. "Silvermoon Warriors! Are we ready!" "Yes!" "Attack!" And with this, the first howl echoed in the silent forest, marking the beginning of a war. ................................................... "Stand in a line. Hands behind your backs !" Beta Ron of the Red Moon pack orders, looking at the captives in victory. His eyes fixed on the so-called female Alpha lying at his feet, at his mercy. Turning her body with a nudge of his foot, he smirks, seeing the beauty. He will indeed have his share of fun with her once they reach their territory. He thought. "Let....let...them go..you bast***!" Rosie cursed with all the hate she could muster for this man. While the Beta merely crouches down to her level and traces his finger down her beautiful countenance. She repulses his touch like poison while a small voice cries through the prisoners kept in place. "Leave my sister, you dog! Leave her!" Amazed, Ron looks at a girl of mere 7, looking at him with murderous eyes She thrashes to be let go in the arms of the guards holding her. Clasping on Rosie's hair, Ron yanks her up. Making a groan to leave her trembling lips. "Agree to the merger bit** or I will have no choice but to use force instead." Rosie simmers in a burning rage, not ready to admit defeat. Spitting on his face, she looks back at him in enmity. The Beta closes his eyes, his grip on her hair tightening. Tilting up her face, he presses his face near her ear and whispers in resentment. "That was your biggest mistake bit**. Now see how I kill your dear sister in front of your eyes to be followed by these pathetic she wolves being used by my men. Once done with them, I will drag your sorry ass and use you to my heart's content. Fuc* you till you beg for death!" His filthy words made fear enter her eyes; she would die before she let this happen. Thrashing, she tried to let go, but his grip on her hair was steel. Smiling evilly, he nods at one of his men, who brings Amelia's wailing form forward. Hurling her on the ground, the man lifts up a sword, and Ron looks at Rosie with a smirk. Waiting for her to renounce her title. One of the men kicks the little child, and Rosie screams at them. "Noooooo! Leave her! Please!" Ron yanked Rosie back from her hair, making her back hit his chest. She screams, seeing Amelia in pain, blood flowing from the cut on her tiny forehead. "Do you submit?" Ron asks, whispering in her ear from behind. Tears of helplessness leave her eyes as she moves her head in a no. The men started kicking the 7-year-old again, and that was it. She couldn't see this. "Leave her! I...." "I ask, do you submit Rosie?" She nods helplessly, and Beta's grip on her hair tightens. "Words...say it!" "I do" She finally declares defeated, and the Beta lifts his hand. Making his men stop, and little Amelia's frame drops to the ground. "Good girl." Stepping back, he lets Rosie's body collapse. She crawls to her sister's almost unconscious self. Her hands tremble as she holds Amelia's bloody face in her hands. Ron orders his men to take the captives as prisoners. The women and children are crying in defeat and sadness. The men approach to separate Rosie from Amelia. While Rosie struggles to hold her sister in her arms. "Leave us, please! I have already submitted! Please leave us now..." Ron laughs at this; how stupid she was to think he would let her go once she submits. "Oh, my bad. Did I forget to tell you? You will be my personal slave, Rosie. Now get up!" Rosie looks at him in incredulity. This was deception. Pure deception. She refuses, and his men hold her in their grips. Ron approaches, his finger trailing her face to go down as he stares at her cleavage. "No...please, no!" She says, struggling only to have him smirk. His fingers settle at the top button of her worn-out shirt. But before he could pull it open, a voice stopped him. " Blackmailing a woman to submit and then trying to take advantage of her. Bravo men. You are brave." Ron, along with all of his men, turns to look at the intruder. Leaving Rosie, they stare at the girl with narrowed eyes. A girl of a mere 5'7 stood there, dressed in a jet-black leather jacket, black pants, and black combat shoes. A cap rests on her head, veiling her identity and face. "Who are you bit**? Leave" She sighs and adjusts her cap. Lifting her face, she stares at Ron with redefined coldness. "I didn't come here to leave, boys. Now, let's begin the negotiation. Shall we?" They look at the girl in amazement, her conviction surprising them. The sound of laughter echoes in the silent forest as Rosie looks at her in hope. Expecting that she has brought the Rebel along. But when she saw that no one followed her? The earlier fear multiplies by ten. "Vera? Leave, please...they will e*****e you as well!' Vera looks at Rosie for a mere second, only to focus back on Ron again. Placing her hands in her leather jacket, she approaches him. " Who is your Alpha again? Why don't you call that basta** here?" The laughter died. No one disrespects their Alpha. No one. If only they knew she would do way more than disrespect him. "Our Alpha is busy, and why will he talk to you, girl?" They ask up. "That's bad. Negotiations are closed then." "How dare you? Who are you anyway?" And that's when she smirks and pulls up her sleeves. Ready for the fun to begin. "People call me Vera with love." She takes hold of Ron's neck and starts choking him. The men surround her as she removes the hidden dagger from her side pockets. With a smile on her lips, she continues her sentence before sliding the knife on the Beta's neck and making him drop down. Dead. "While men call me Rebel with hate" And that's when all the men stop to stare at her in disbelief. "So what's it going to be for you boys? Who is next?" They trembled in fear as they saw death with their own eyes. It was only a matter of time now when they joined their Beta. Rebel was infamous for one thing, and that was merciless killing and slaughtering, as some may say. Instant death. Smirking at them, she adjusts her cap and rotates the knife in her fingers. Let the fun begin.
