Blurb

For three years, Eldric endured every humiliation as the live-in husband to the prestigious Logan family, all for the love of his wife, Naviya. But his devotion is shattered when he finds her in his own bed with another man—and she cruelly dismisses him as worthless trash.

Beaten and discarded like garbage, Eldric is left broken in the street. But as his blood drips onto a hidden jade pendant, it glows with an otherworldly light and vanishes into his skin, awakening a hidden power within him.

The man they all called trash has now become a force of vengeance. To his family, he was a fool and a servant. Now, he will show them what it means to be a god.

Chapter 1 Betrayal
"Hurry up, darling. That useless husband of mine will be back any minute." A woman's voice sliced through the silence of an eastern Herbshire villa bedroom—a voice Eldric recognized instantly. His wife, Naviya. Frozen outside the door, he heard her panting breaths mixing with the rhythmic squeaking of the bed. Then a gruff male voice barked through the sounds: "Scared? You're dumping that loser anyway. Let him see us—might move things along." "But... him catching us..." Naviya hesitated. The man scoffed. "What's that pathetic worm gonna do?" Eldric's hands clenched into shaking fists. The speaker was Demontae, only son of Marks, Herbshire's real estate king. To him, Eldric—the Logan family's worthless live-in son-in-law—wasn't even worth a glance. Three years. Three years groveling at her feet, swallowing every humiliation, jumping at Naviya's every command. And this was his reward? Now this betrayal—in his own damn bed! The door exploded inward with a crash. There they were: Naviya pinned beneath Demontae's sweaty bulk, sheets clinging to their n***d bodies. "Why?" Eldric's voice cracked with rage. The lovers jerked apart. Naviya's flash of panic hardened into icy disdain. "Useless trash! Ever heard of knocking?" Demontae rolled off the bed, sneering. "Who let you in, punk? Get lost before I break your face!" "Just GO!" Naviya snapped, clutching the sheets. "We'll talk later!" The room pulsed crimson as rage consumed him. These goddamn snakes! His fists trembled, veins bulging. "Three years I've been your slave!" he choked out. "Your every order—I obeyed! And this is how you repay me?" Naviya's lips curled as she watched him shatter. Her expression said it all—like she'd tired of a broken toy. Her face hardened into glacial indifference as she stared at Eldric, her voice sharp with contempt. "Since you've caught me with Demontae, I'll spell it out plainly. We've been together for ages. Yes, you've been servile, Eldric. Played the dutiful dog well enough. But what I truly crave? You could never provide it!" "Let's be brutally honest—I never cared for you. My grandfather forced this marriage with his face-reading arts nonsense, claiming you'd bring fortune to the Logan family. Did you honestly believe a matrilocal son-in-law like you belonged in our world?" "You're beneath me. Do you know how my family became the laughingstock among Brizo's elite since you wormed your way in? If not for Grandfather's interference, I'd have tossed this worthless baggage out years ago." "Now that the truth is laid bare, here's my final verdict: I'm divorcing you for Demontae. He offers everything you never could. The Connors just secured a deal with Aetherdale's elite—this will catapult them into high society. Not even Grandfather can stop me now." Each word struck with surgical precision, carving Eldric's heart into tatters. "Three years together... Even a stray mutt would've shown some loyalty by now. How could you—" "Silence!" Naviya slashed through his protest, her expression final. "My decision stands. Tomorrow, the divorce papers arrive. Sign them without causing a scene. Now get out—don't you dare interrupt us further." Her arctic gaze held no compromise. Those three years might as well never have happened. Discarding Eldric required no more thought than scrapping yesterday's trash—why would it merit even a flicker of regret? Every syllable was exquisite t*****e. Eldric's fury exploded. "You venomous vipers! I'll make you pay!" With a roar, he charged the bed—only for Demontae to plant a brutal kick that sent him crashing against the wall. "You wretched fool!" Demontae towered above his broken form. "Seeking death? I'll grind you into dust!" What followed was a hailstorm of blows that left Eldric broken, bloodied, hovering at the edge of darkness. Through it all, Naviya watched—not so much as a flicker of compassion crossing her face. The last thing Eldric saw before darkness took him was her turning away—the ultimate dismissal. The beating dragged on mercilessly until Eldric was barely conscious—and Nechemya's fists finally ached from the relentless pummeling. With a grunt, he yanked Eldric up like a ragdoll, dragged him across the marble floors, and flung him onto the driveway like trash before storming back inside without a second glance. Moments later, Naviya's mother Maylee strode past. One look at the bloodied figure told her everything—she'd known about her daughter's affair all along. Her nose wrinkled in disgust as she swept into the villa, her expression as icy as her daughter's. The betrayal cut deeper than his wounds. Rage choked Eldric—then everything went black. No one noticed as blood dripped onto the jade pendant around his neck. It flared with unnatural green light—then vanished, melting into his skin like liquid fire.
