Marcus
When Crystal had said that she wanted to take me somewhere for lunch I didn’t expect that somewhere to be a vampire clan. It confused me when random people would come up to Crystal and bow their heads, she merely laughed at my confusion and bowed her head back. It didn’t feel like an hour had passed when Crystal announced that we needed to head back or we'd be late for our next class. I could have spent all day with her but she insisted that she needed to get to her next class as she had a really important test. Begrudgingly I left her at her class, before heading to my own.
“So, what's going on between you and the brunette?” Jake, my future beta, said, suddenly beside me.
“What do you mean?” I asked, deciding to play dumb. He rolled his eyes at me,
“Don’t play that game with me. I’m in that class, and saw the whole thing.” He announced proudly, I groaned knowing I wouldn’t be able to avoid the conversation.
“Look I have class, I’ll fill you in tomorrow before school,” I quickly walked off, not giving him time to reply. I couldn’t focus on class, all I could think about was Crystal, it had been the same with all my other classes today. I couldn’t wait for school to end so I could see her again. As the bell for the end of day sounded I was the first out of the class, I followed Crystal's scent all the way to her. She was talking with Brie and Dylan, they were laughing and smiling, knowing that my mate was happy instantly made me happy. With an oversized smile plastered on my face I walked up to the three of them.
“Sooo, how was the River Stone clan?” Brie asked, not bothering with greetings.
“It was beautiful,” I admitted, while I wrapped my arms around Crystal's waist and rested my head on top of hers. “I’d love to go back and explore it sometime,”

I’d spent the rest of the day after school with Marcus and the others, we talked about how me and Marcus being mates would work. We agreed that for the time being we would organise a time for us to tell Marcus’ Officers about us and who I was, but keep it secret from everybody else for now. We barely even realised that the sun had set, we’d been so engrossed in our conversation. Once we were finished talking, me and Marcus said goodbyes and left their house. Just as he had on sunday he walked me back to my room,
“Hey, could you come in, there's one more thing I want to tell you,” I said. I was nervous to tell him exactly who I was, especially since I still wasn’t entirely sure. Without a second's hesitation he walked in, flopping down on my bed. I followed after him, sitting down next to him.
“First though, I want to ask you if you know who Lucas Blackwood is,” He nodded,
“Yeah, he’s the alpha king. Why do you ask?” The alpha king! My heart rate increased at that, I’d spent the last four years trying to figure out who this man was without asking people, -since I didn’t want them to get suspicious- and it turned out that he was the alpha king. Marcus placed a comforting hand on my arm, taking a deep breath, I began to tell him everything about me.
“Well, he’s kinda my dad,” His jaw dropped open, “My mother was a hybrid and a human world princess, her name was Kira Haret. She became pregnant with me a day before she was turned by a rogue vampire. By some miracle she didn’t lose me. Thanks to the fact that I’m the only vampire to have a wolf-” I trailed off, nervous about what Marcus would say when he found out who I was. Taking another deep breath I continued, re-starting my sentence. “Since I have a wolf even though I’m a vampire and though people have tried no-one else has been able to manage this feat on my eighteenth birthday I was crowned. I am the queen of all vampires and their variations. Thanks to my statice, the fairy queen reached out to me and arranged a private meeting, where she declared me as her next in line. This set off a chain reaction of fae tribes requesting me to be their leader, or join their governing councils. I joined your pack to learn more about my werewolf side, find out who my father is and to hopefully find my mate. I guess I achieved all three,” I said the last bit with a slight chuckle. Marcus was staring at me, his mouth hanging open and his eyes wide. Just as worry set in, he jumped off the bed and pulled me to my feet.
I didn’t hear what he said, I was so sure that he wouldn’t want me, I had no idea why but I couldn’t help the feeling. Seeing this he began to speak again, and what he said caught my attention. “I Marcus Dain, future alpha of the moon blood pack hereby formally–”
