The next morning Lily made a phone call to her friend Sarah and without saying anything she started crying. " What's up Lily...are you crying?" Sara asked with a lot of concern. " I don't know what to do Sara... I can't imagine my mother tried to sell off for money. I'm missing my dad." Sara's voice was filled with empathy and her eyes almost filled up with tears, feeling so sorry for for her friend Lily as she responded, "Oh, Lily, I'm so sorry. What happened? You're scaring me. Tell me everything." Lily took a deep breath, trying to gather herself together and began to recall the events of the previous day. She told Sara about the argument with her mother and every detail that happened to her that night and how she ended up into a stranger arms. As she spoke, Sarah listened more attentively, offering words of comfort whenever it was needed. When Lily finally finished talking, Sara said that she couldn't imagine that Lily's mother could be so cruel to her to the extent of wanting to sell her out to some stranger just for money. "What are you going to do now? Sarah asked with alot of concern. "Do you feel like talking to your mother about anything concerning what she has done to you? Maybe it can gain you some relief by doing so. If you can't then I can talk to her on your behalf if you would like me to." Lily thought for a moment before responding to Sarah, "I don't know what to do, Sarah. She's been acting so strange lately. Maybe you can try talk to her and you may get some answers out of her. I feel like it will be more wise for you to do it because if I try, I may end up arguing with her." Sara agreed to go to Lily's house and try to talk to her mother as they made plans for her to come over later that same day. After some moments Lily walked out from her room for break from all that she has been thinking but when she got at the sitting room. She also wanted to prepare herself something to eat since she was very hungry. As she walked into the sitting room she was really surprised to see Max, then man she encountered the previous night enjoying a cup of coffee at couch. With fear and anxiety, she ran directly to her mom. " Mom...there is a man in our house" Lily's mother seemed not to be bothered at all and instead she just smiled. " You mean Max...! He was just sent to deliver a gift to me by his father who happens to be my boyfriend!" Lily was eally surprised by the sudden news from her mother. She never thought of her mother having a boyfriend especially at her age. Her eyes widened in shock as she tried to process the bombshell her mother had just dropped. "Your boyfriend?" she repeated, her voice shaking with unease. "You never told me you were dating anyone, let alone the father of the stranger who's been lurking around our house." Her mother's smile seemed to falter for a moment, but then she quickly regained her composure. "I didn't want to worry you, my dear sweetheart. It's all very new and I wasn't sure how serious it was going to get." Lily felt a cold dread creeping up her spine as she glanced back at the sitting room, where Max was still sipping his coffee, his eyes fixed on her with an unnerving intensity. "What's going on, Mom?" she pressed, her voice low and urgent. "Who is Max, really? And what's with your so called boyfriend that you never mentioned to me about. When were you planing to tell me about all this mother?" Her mother hesitated, and for a moment, Lily thought she saw a flicker of fear in her eyes. But then, her mother's gathered her thoughts back in place and said, "Don't ask so many unnecessary questions dear. You will get used to all of this since you will be seeing him often. After all he is going to be your step brother soon. And before I forget...tomorrow we will be moving to their house...I mean Richard's house." Lily's mother concluded while still wearing a smile on her face. Lily remained confused with the situation. She angrily shouted to her mom that she can't be with him. " You don't care about me anymore...all you care about is yourself and money. I'll ensure that you two can't be together. Sometimes I even wonder whether you loved and cared for my dad." After saying all this, Lily walked outside and banged the door behind her angrily. " Don't mindel her...I'll take care of that." Lily's mother said to Max as he was saying good buy to her. " Say thanks for me to your father for the gift. Tell him that I liked it very much. As Alex stepped out of the house, he was stopped by Lily and furiously she told him that she will make sure that her mother won't be together with his father. " I can't imagine that you are also through with all this bullshit. Aren't you the one I met yesterday night and you wanted to take advantage of my helplessness? And now you just popped up very early in the morning at our house claiming to bring some stupid gift from your father to my mother. What's wrong with you people? Just to be clear...I'm not into some step sibling thing. "I didn't know that you and your mother are all the same. Max replied after being silent for long. " You are all after money, and let me tell you that I also don't want you people in my life and my father's. Do you think that I also want this huh!... I hate this the most than you think you do. Because you are all after money and nothing else." After spitting all those insulting words, Max left Lily's home with his luxurious car and disappeared. As Max drove away, he couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt and anger that lingered inside him. He knew he had been harsh on Lily, but he couldn't help but feel that she and her mother were trying to manipulate his father for their own financial gain. When he arrived home , he was greeted by a warm smile from their house maid, Rachel. "Good morning, Max," she said, as she handed him a cup of freshly brewed coffee. "Your father needs to see you in his study." Max took a sip of his coffee and headed to the study, where he found his father sitting behind his massive desk, a look of concern etched on his face. "Max, what's going on? I got a call from Lily's mother, saying that you had a confrontation with Lily this morning. What happened?" Max took a deep breath and recounted the entire incident, leaving out no details. His father listened intently, his expression growing more serious with each passing moment. When Max finished, his father leaned back in his chair and steepled his fingers together. "Max, I know you're trying to protect me, but sometimes you can be too extreme. I think it's time we had a talk about Lily and her mother, and cleared the air once and for all. I want you to accept that Susan is going to be you step mother and that will make Lily end up being your set sister and you will have to treaf her like your own sister. And about what has happened today...I need you not to worry about it as I'm going to talk to Lily's mother. Max nodded, feeling a sense of reliefs and thought that maybe, just maybe, this was the opportunity he needed to finally put an end to the drama and get his father out of the clutches of these gold-diggers. Little did he knew that his father was into the whole thing of him being with Lily's mother and that he wouldn't dare to ask them anything about the incident. He just said that to Max so that he can relief his anger against them. Some minutes later, Max got a call from his beta_Fred, and he was asked whether he was ready for tomorrow and that everything has been arranged successfully. " Don't worry Fred, I'm very ready for tomorrow and remember that you should not tell my Identity to anyone. From tomorrow you will be addressing me as lecturer and not an Alfa when wr are around other people especially humans." After clarifying all this to Fred, Max headed to his bedroom and deacided to take some rest.
