CHAPTER I (One)
"And it begins with the good start__And end with a bad ending."
----[Nicolas finally meets Catherine for the very first time, and they both got to know each other personally.]----
Early days at that time of the year in 2017, it was approaching winter season, there had been a couple that was deeply in love with each other, a young man and a young woman, they were a perfect fit, well suited for each other. a young man had a fine taste when it comes to woman, he had gotten himself an attractive woman, a well curvy woman with tiny brown eyes and a cute face, she was charismatic! he Said? she was every man's ideal woman as her charisma caught their attention, she was of pedi and sotho origin, she had a bubble personality, and nobody understood what type of girl she was, if she's either a good girl or bad girl who knows, maybe she's just someone you can never really predict she's just so unpredictable i think.
he thought her love was of spells as he felt extremely attached to every part of her, he noted "her scent is my heavenly sent", that was a way of him bragging about her, he adored her that much ,she became a piece of a missing puzzle, then he finally found his missing piece in a mysterious place, a place you could never think of finding a potential woman, he found her at a meat night lounge pub which is situated at the outskirts of a nearby town, a place where drinks are served in a tray full of shots with blends of different kinds of whiskeys and brandys, but everyone else seemed to prefer brandy than whiskey, so they all took shots of shooters in tiny glasses which are probably twenty in numbers of count, and they were enjoying themselves till the night goes down (soulful music playing on the background ), and Mr Dj turning the music up on decks, with all sets on decks turning this night up with vibey chills, and background sound characterized with guiter strings and violin sounds,
Mr Dj is such a musical genius;
he just knows the type of music that brings the vibe in, and the type of music that just makes people want to dance, either way some do dance while others have company with strangers, and some particularly with associates or with regular customers who usually come along and have some great time there.
the young man just bumped into this fine hun, he hailed at her? hey pretty lady? having a nice time?, then she came closer to him with a smiley expression and she responded? hey to you too, he then asked? are you having a nice time, then she replied? well I'm having a great time around here? then he asked politely? sorry
where are my manners?
do you mind taking a seat, she responded? yes i don't mind at all, he replied her? oh you may have a seat please, she said? with pleasure (he then pulled a chair for her) by the way what's your name?, and then she replied my name is Catherine?, and how about yours? the young man replied? well my name is Nicholas but you can call me Nik,
oh my? nice to meet you Nik, actually let me call you Mr Nik,
is that fine by you, then he replied? and he said it sounds pretty lovely,
anyway i love it, it perfectly suits me as you say? anyhow can i order a drink for you, she replied? yes of course Mr Nik? (she giggled ) and then he asked her? which drink do you prefer, we have a lot in the drink menu, by the way is sparkling wine fine? she replied yes i love wine, one of my favourite, and he further asked do you constantly have drinks or do you drink occasionally? she replied? well i only have a couple of drinks once in a while, i rarely consume liquor to begin with, the young man replied? oh i get it, that's actually cool? well on my side I do take a sip sometimes after work or when I'm with the dudes around me, so we usually hang around here,
this is our spot we usually come by to have a few drinks and all that?, she replied? so do you socialize around here or do you just come here for drinks and that's it, he then replied her? yeah thanks for asking? i do sometimes socialize and have a couple more drinks but its strictly business related, so yeah that's all i can say, she asked? are you a business man if i may ask? because i heard you mention something related to business? the young man replied her? yes i am a business man who happens to be a very busy man too? she replied? you must be a serious man, he replied? well I'm not anyhow a serious man,
I'm just being straight forward that's all, she replied?
Oh Mr Nik i do get you,
anyway nice to meet you once again, then the young man replied? likewise, he asked her? will i ever gonna meet you in one of the days again, she responded? sure thing, I'm actually cool with that? so let it be, they made a farewell remark with a friendly hug, then they went separate ways, while the young man went to the balcony to get some fresh air, and then he pulled out one of the finest cigar in his jacket, and light it up to puff some few pulls, maybe a two or three pulls, who knows, and then he was sorted out.
he shortly received and incoming call from an old buddy, he answered the call, hello frank? then frank replied? hey dude how are you holding up?, its been a while we haven't spoken, then he replied? mate I'm doing just fine, and thanks that you've asked, I'm still fine as you know me, then frank replied? anyway i was just checking up on you dude, you've gone quiet since you left the hood, you don't call nor pay a visit anymore, the young man replied? well you know busy stuffs, a lot of work on my plate, time is rarely on my side, so i've lost contact, i mean we both have, but i haven't forgotten you my guy, then frank replied? yeah i get it bro, and i know you probably mean well, you just don't have time, by the way i just miss my guy that's all, then the young man replied?
don't worry my guy i will make it up to you, i just don't have time, but i promise i will have, so catch you some other time i need to go back in the bar, frank replied? okay cool dude i've got you, and i will stay in touch then the young man replied? alright champ i will keep in touch too dude, and take care (he dropped the call), and went back to the bar and order a glass of champagne and had only two glasses of it, then he left the place and walked out of the pub, and he immediately got in his car and drove off to his apartment along the way he was very devastated by the traffic officers (Metro police) that gives people tough time on the road, they usually stop just anybody to check the car, and almost everything, so that day he was never stopped, and got through the filling station to fill up the gas (petrol) and afterwards he then got to road a drove his way to his apartment.
