“Who would I talk to here about trademarks and patents?” I asked my brother Neil when I got into work that morning. “That would be Bernard,” he told me. “Why? Did you invent something?” I laughed. “No, but I met a woman who plays bass in the orchestra. She showed me some of her designs, and I think they should be trademarked, or at least patented.” “A bass player from the orchestra put her designs on you?” Neil laughed at me. “I wish. She’s pretty hot, but that’s not the thing. She’s really talented. She’s designed some fixtures to help handicapped people.
