Afterword
Being a teenager isn’t easy. Adults that claim otherwise have merely forgotten what was important to their younger selves. It may be that the common issues that most teenagers face are not important in terms of becoming a successful member of society, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not important to the people they affect. In many ways this novel is a dedication to the difficulty of being young and average.
The novel would have been much more difficult to write and far less sincere had I not enjoyed regular interactions with today’s burgeoning adults, not to mention my own cache of stories from when I was younger.
