What Happend?

As we crept through the woods quietly, I had a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I wanted to shout out in warning that we were coming, but whatever Myrna did to me stopped any sound from escaping my lips. We neared three men and one wolf patrolling what I assume is the border to their pack. Like a thief in the night, four burly men attacked them from behind, snapping their necks and throwing their lifeless bodies to the side. I can't believe I just witnessed someone's life get snatched from them so mercilessly. These men probably had families and children. I couldn't stop the bile from rising in my throat before I ran behind a tree and threw up the tiny contents of my stomach. "Get your s**t together before you're next!" Damon quietly growled as he snatched my arm to continue to drag me along. Soon, we came upon a cute little town. We snuck past a grocery store and continued to walk toward the middle of the village. I saw adorable homes with their lights out, letting me know everyone was in their beds sleeping, blissfully unaware of the danger that had fallen upon them. As we walked further into the town, I couldn't help but wonder how homey this place felt. Nothing like the rundown place Damon calls a pack. Even at night, while everyone was sleeping, you could feel life and joy in the atmosphere. We hid behind a tall building that appeared to be a high school as two men walked by. Right as they passed, two of Damon's men jumped out from behind the building and snapped their necks before they had the chance even to realize what was coming. I felt that familiar feeling again of bile rising in my throat. "Don't you even think about it!" Damon whispered as he continued to pull me along. Once we reached what seemed to be the middle of the town, we stood in front of a reasonably large mansion. It was similar to where I was staying with Damon but in much better condition. As we approached the house, I knew I needed to plan my escape. I surveyed my surroundings; I saw a few houses behind the mansion and then nothing but woods. When everyone is distracted, I will make a run for the woods and keep running north. Hopefully, they won't realize I am gone until I am far away. As I contemplated my escape, Myrna looked at Damon and said, "I'll be back with the Alpha." Then she waved her hand and disappeared into thin air. Myrna reappeared before our eyes holding a half-sleeping man by the gruff of his shirt, and a woman by her hair. "Look a two-for-one deal. I also grabbed the Luna," Myrna exclaimed, with a sick, triumphant smile. Damon stepped forward and looked at the Alpha, holding his woman in his arms in fear. "Please let my Luna go. I will give you whatever you want; just please let her leave!" the Alpha begged. "Tsk, Tsk, I am disappointed in you, Leroy, begging like some Omega to save your b***h! I will give you one chance and one chance only. Give me control of your pack, and join me in the fight in taking over all the packs on this side of the country. You and your b***h can live in peace once this war is over," Damon stated with a sadistic grin on his face. Alpha Leroy sighed. "Damon, you know I can't do that. There must be a better way," he stated, trying to reason with Damon. While everyone was distracted by that poor man and woman standing out in their pajamas begging for their lives, I started to execute my escape. I slowly backed away from the group and slipped around the side of the house undetected. Once I was far enough away and knew they couldn't see me anymore, I broke into the fastest run of my life. As I ran, the metal collar dug into my neck, making it burn unbearably. I couldn't focus on the pain right now; I had to get out of there. As I kept running, I neared a small river. Running full speed towards it, I jumped in, hoping the water would mask my scent and cover my tracks. The moment I hopped out of the water to keep running, I heard a loud howl coming my way. "Oh no!" I yelled as I continued to pick up the pace. Even though I could hear them gaining on me, I still had hope for my escape. I looked around for anything that could help me, and all I saw were trees. My only option was to climb one in hopes they would pass by me. I could sit in a tree for a couple of days if I had to, I thought. Just as I started to climb a nearby tree, I felt a sharp pain in my leg, and before I knew it, I was being swung back and tossed to the ground like a rag doll. I looked up and saw multiple angry wolves surrounding me. One huge, muddy brown one, in particular, was hovering over me viciously. Its teeth bared, foaming spit dripping from its mouth. I was so petrified I couldn't make a sound. Clearly, this was the end for me as I lay on the ground, tired, ready to accept my impending death. I shut my eyes tight, not able to see the moment this wolf lunges at me to rip me apart. After a few seconds, I heard what sounded like bones breaking quickly; then, it was dead silence. As I peeked my eyes open, I saw a very angry-looking Damon standing completely nude in front of me. Ewww, I swear those saggy balls almost made me lose the contents of my stomach again. "Tsk, Tsk, little pet, you have been a naughty pup. You will be punished for your little escape attempt later, but for now, let's go finish off this pack. What do you say, hmm?" Damon asked me rhetorically as he pulled me up to a standing position by my hair. When we made it back in front of the mansion, I saw about 100 people standing around scared and crying. Everyone was holding on to their family, begging for mercy. I saw the man and woman, who they kept referring to as the Alpha and Luna, standing tall with great fear in their eyes. They all looked as pitiful as I felt. Just then, Damon stepped forward and addressed everyone, "You're Alpha has made a grave mistake. He refused to turn this pack over to me, so I will have to take it by force!.. Myrna, please come forward; it's time." Myrna walked over to me with a twisted smirk on her face. She walked up to me and pulled my head back by my hair. I tried to shake loose, but her grip tightened around my hair as Myrna pressed her lips against my ear and whispered something I couldn't make out. As she whispered, I felt my body get heavy, then everything went black. As I came to, I looked around my surroundings. It was now morning, and I was in a decent-sized room lying on a bed. I sat up quickly, confused as to what had just happened, but instantly got a headache. I saw a small light coming from a door across the room and stumbled over to open it. Once inside, I was happy to see it was a bathroom. I looked in the mirror, and that's when I saw it. Blood everywhere! All on my clothes, my hands, my hair! "AHHH!" I yelled out as I began to vigorously scrub all the blood off of me at the bathroom sink. I continued to scrub my arms and face until they were raw, but I still felt and looked dirty. I turned around and saw a small stand-up shower and turned the water on scalding hot, and jumped in fully clothed. I just stood there and let the water beat on me until the water became cold as I tried to rack my brain and remember the events of last night. I walked out of the bathroom soaking wet and saw a clean pair of clothes sitting on the bed. I quickly undressed and put on the clothes, which were just a pair of leggings and a loose shirt. Just as I finished dressing, my door opened, and a short, petite girl with long blonde hair came into the room with her head cast down. "Ex-excuse me m-miss, the Alpha would like to see you for br-breakfast," she stuttered, refusing to look at me. "What the hell happened last night?" I questioned angrily. "Pl-please d-don't hurt me," the girl screamed as she covered her head in fear. "Hey, hey, I am not going to hurt you," I sighed in defeat, "Please just take me to the Alpha." As we made our way through the house down to the dining room, I saw multiple people running away from me in fear. What exactly happened last night? As we approached the dining room for breakfast, I heard loud voices and laughter. When Damon saw me coming, he stood up and ran over to me with a genuine smile on his face (and trust me, it was creepy). "Ahh, my pet! You have done well! Come. Eat," Damon demanded as he motioned for me to sit in a chair. Men sat around with their feet up disrespectfully on the table as a few women came out of the kitchen with our breakfast. "Alpha," the women said to Damon as they bowed their heads in submission and ran back into the kitchen. "We will rest here for another day as we gather supplies, and the warriors from this pack to join us as we move on to the next pack takeover," Damon announced to his men. Then he looked at me and stated, "You are more valuable than I ever imagined, pet. With you by my side, this takeover will be swift and easy!" I shifted in my seat uncomfortably as I tried to adjust the heavy collar around my neck. Why can't I remember what the hell happened last night?!
