Dr. Linda Burney

I was forced into a chair with my arms strapped down when I came face to face with HER. Dr. Linda Burney. A beautiful face with a terrible personality! I believe she is about 40 years old, 5'6, with blue eyes and blond hair that she always keeps in a tight, neat bun. In her form-fitting suit, she peered over her glasses with a smug smile on her face. "Mylay Marks looks like you landed in my office once again. This time you hurt poor little Dr. Macky. What kind of monster are you?" She asked in a condescending tone that made me want to smack that smirk right off her face. "I-I didn't mean t-to," I stuttered out. "Ha, of course, you didn't weak little Mylay; it is Aja who I want to speak with. Bring her forward," Dr. Burney commanded. Crickets. Aja didn't say anything, and neither did I. "Do you hear me, Ms. Marks? I want to speak to that disrespectful wolf of yours," Dr. Burney spit out in disgust. "Why must you patronize me? You have been calling me crazy since I got here, telling me to let go of this idea of a wolf, and yet here you are requesting to speak to her. Please do not insult my intelligence, doctor!" I managed to get out with just as much disgust in my voice. She smirked, then walked around her desk and stood in front of me. She gripped my face tightly in her hands and looked deep into my eyes. "Aja, you come forward immediately!" Dr. Burney bellowed in a commanding tone I had never heard from her before. She had this thick aura seeping off her. It was so dominant and intrusive; I almost felt as though I should listen... almost. "Who the hell does she think she's talking to? Tell this b***h back up 10 feet, and if she wants to speak with me, she better show some respect and ask nicely!" Aja retorted with irritation laced in her voice. "Aja said to back up and ask nicely if you want to speak," I explained to Dr. Burney. Dr. Burney smirked at my request, which is never a good sign. She backed up and placed her finger on her chin like she was making some discovery. "Interesting. She is not even affected. Very well, Aja, could you PLEASE come forward so we can speak?" Dr. Burney arrogantly asked. I felt myself slipping to the back of my consciousness as Aja pushed herself forward. "Good morning, good Doctor, how are you on this lovely day?' Aja asked in a sickly-sweet tone. "Oh, cut the s**t Aja, you can't go around here showing yourself all aggressive. Have some self-respect!" Spat Dr. Burney. To which Aja replied, "Oh, like you? Please, I have more things to worry about than being prim and proper for these lowly humans!" Once again, Dr. Burney made her evil smirk and got closer to me. She stooped down to eye level with me and took my patch of white hair at the front of my head, and twirled it in between her fingers. "Tsk, tsk, you don't even know, do you?" she smiled smugly. "Quit the games, you evil hag, and let me be!" Aja yelled. "Oh, I will let you be alright. Once I get what I need," Dr. Burney replied. "What you need is a breath mint and to back up out of my face! Please and thank you!" Aja smirked. "Gladly, oh, and happy birthday Mylay" is the last thing we heard from that evil b***h before she shoved a needle in my neck. A searing, burning pain took over my whole body right before darkness consumed me. I woke up in my room with a pounding headache. I tried to open my eyes as I watched the light start to come through the windows. Is it the following day already? Some birthday, I thought as I rolled my eyes. I sat up quickly and regretted it immediately. "Ugh," I groaned. I felt like I got hit by a truck. Eve and Tiff came into my room with apologetic looks on their faces. "You look like crap, come; let's get your blood pressure," said Tiff. I went through my morning routine and went for my meds and breakfast, but I felt out of place today. Something was just... off. Cara went about our day "preparing me for my impending escape." Dinner came quickly, and soon it was bedtime. As I lay in my bed waiting for lockdown, Cara ran into my room. "It's tonight! It is happening soon! Prepare yourself, and once you leave, trust no one!" Cara whisper-yelled as she ran into my room and shut the door. I rolled my eyes at her. "I'm not in the mood tonight, Cara. Can we talk about this tomorrow? I don't have time for your stupid stories!" I spat out. "First of all, little girl, stop rolling your eyes before they get stuck in your head! Second, this is not a drill! I have saved some bread and a banana from lunch for you to take with you. I will be back for you after lockdown to assist in the escape," and with that, she ran out of the room. I just stared at the door Cara had just left, in deep thought. Oh, how I wished her delusions were real. Unfortunately, I know they are not. How could she even get out after the lockdown? I will resume entertaining her crazy ideas in the morning, but tonight I need rest. I am emotionally and physically drained. As I lay sleeping, I heard noises at my door that woke me up. The clock on the wall said 11:30 pm. I sat up in fright. Oh no! The night crew! I heard my door open and saw two thin shadows creep into my room. I started to hyperventilate. "Calm down; we will get through this. Cara said so," said Aja, trying to soothe me, which didn't help because she had always had false hope in Cara, hanging on to her every word. Just then, I felt a pair of dead cold hands on my shoulder. "Oh look, Hangus, this one smells sweet!" said the man who touched my shoulder. "Mmm, yes, she does Joffe, this one looks tasty. We must be careful, though; we can't drain this one like Joe did the last guy. Master will have a fit!" Said the other one I now know as Hangus. "Mmm, but she smells so good. I don't know if I can stop!" Joffe said with a sick smirk as he gripped me by my neck. "Get your disgusting hands off me!" I yelled as I tried to kick my legs wildly. A moment later, I saw a mop of long black hair and a small body jump on Joffe's back! "Get this little bitch.. AHH, she bit me!" Yelled Joffe. He swung her around and threw her on the floor. "Cara!" I screamed and ran over to her to see if she was ok. Just then, she popped up and ran over to my nightstand for a pitcher of water that she must have brought with her. She stuck her left hand in the pitcher and held her right hand in a stop motion out in front of her. "Do not make another move," Cara said with a deadly tone I had never heard from her before. Before I could even process what was happening, Hangus lunged toward her. Cara mumbled a couple of words under her breath, and water shot out of her right hand and engulfed itself around Hangus' head. I was shocked to see him standing there with water around him in mid-air as he looked like he needed to breathe. I sensed someone to my left and saw Joffe stalking toward Cara's side with a crazed look in his red eyes, and deadly sharp fangs protruding from his gums. What the hell? That was all I could think before Aja took over and jumped in front of him to protect Cara. Joffe lunged at me, and I quickly dodged him and swung around to jump on his back. I wrapped my right arm tightly around his neck and squeezed with the strength only Aja could give me until he was limp in my arms. As I let him go, I looked up and saw Hangus trying to tear at the water bubble surrounding his head until his body went limp moments later. Cara dropped her hands, and his body fell to the floor with a loud thud. Cara turned around and ran over to Joffie, and started to undress him. I was so shocked I couldn't move. "Hurry, Lay, we must get you in these clothes and get the keys so you can escape," Cara demanded. Still confused and stunned, I asked, "But how did you... what just happened?" "I have already told you now hurry and put these on!" She said as she threw me some pants. "Here are the keys; we must hurry. More are coming!' She spoke. "M-More?! Th-There's more of those th-things?" I stuttered, utterly dumbfounded and scared. Cara just looked at me and then ran over to help me finish dressing. She then grabbed my hand, and we ran out of my room with the keys, and down the hallway into the common room. "Ok, we will go out through the employee entrance downstairs and around the back!" Cara explained. We ran to the steps and started taking them two at a time. "Stop!" We heard someone yell as we turned around and saw three men in scrubs with glowing red eyes. One stepped forward and smirked, showing his disgustingly scary fangs, and said, "and where do you two think you are going?!"
