The Infant
"She is just a baby." The omega cried. "You can't take her!"
"I am your Alpha. I do as I wish, and I wish to take this child!" the Alpha grabbed the bundle out of the omegas' hands. This child would not be his downfall. The Oracle had told him of the coming of this child, and he would make sure there was no way the prophecy would be carried out.
The crying of the omega who was now on the floor of the cottage was annoying him. "Kill her." He told his guard.
"Yes, Alpha." The guard stepped forward and, with one clean slice of his claws, sliced through her jugular, and she was dead.
"Take her body and burn it in the woods, then have someone come clean all her things out of the cottage." He gave the orders over his shoulder as he walked to the Oracles' home.
The Oracle was a beautiful woman in her late thirties. Her bright blue eyes were set in her light-shaded face like bright stars . Her long black hair waved and curled. It always seemed to be flowing around her like there was a breeze when there wasn't.She had been watching the whole time through her crystal ball. An evil smile had played on her lips, knowing he had done as she told him to. Knowing he was at her front door, she put a cloth over the ball to cover it from sight.
"Come in." she stated in a flat tone as the knock was heard.
The door to her home opened, the Alpha stood in the doorway with the bundle in his arms. He stepped towards her, presenting the bundle like it was a gift. She could see the face of the baby. She had pure soft skin with brown hair coming out of the blanket. The baby turned to look at the woman. Her eyes were green, but the centers were yellow. Like sunshine was flowing in her eyes. The woman took a step back.
"Lorenzo!" she screeched. Her minion came quickly.
"Take this child and do as I have told you." Lorenzo took the child from the Alpha and left the home.
"What will you do with her?' the Alpha asked.
"That is none of your concern. You have done well to keep the prophecy from taking hold. Now you will be able to find your mate and have a wonderful life. This was the final piece to stop the horrible events that would keep you from your true worthiness as a strong Alpha. Your pack will flourish, and you will be a true leader among your kind," she stated as she walked to the living room and sat down.
"When will I find my Luna?' he asked with a little urgency in his voice. He was already 25, and he needed his Luna to help him run his pack. He had taken over at 18 from his father and mother, who had been killed in a rogue attack. He was not ready to take the Alpha position, but he had no choice. He needed a Luna to help him with the people, as he was not a gentle man, and his pack did not seem to be warming to him as they had his father and mother. He had hopes that a Luna would help him by taking care of the pack and their concerns, as he did not care about their petty problems.
Unknown to him, there was no prophecy. She had made events happen to make it seem there was a prophecy. She played on his insecurity about not finding his Luna. She had set things in motion to get him to help her with her plan of getting revenge. She had seen the timeline of when his Luna would be showing up and used this information to further garner his help. She had tried to get to the infant in other ways but had been stopped, so coming up with a prophecy of this being the reason he couldn't find his Luna, she was able to enlist his help.
"Soon you will find her, and things will be better in your pack. Now go, I will be packing up and leaving here as there is no more need of me being here." She stated as she waved a hand at him, dismissing him.
"But I still need your advice on how to handle other things in my pack. I don't see why you want to leave. Have I not given you a good place to stay and the pack knows how to respect you?" he almost begged.
"I have told you from the beginning I would not be staying. I have other issues and matters to deal with. This was just a business deal we made." She had no intention of being with a pack of dogs. Her coven would never understand if she was to live out her life in this way. She was a witch, and this was just a way to get revenge on those that had hurt her. She had done what she came to do and would now go on with her life.
"Now go back to your packhouse. There will be a traveling group from another pack. The Alphas daughter of that pack is your Luna. Get ready for her to come." she stated. She had decided to tell him part of it to keep him hopeful, and maybe he would leave her alone. He quickly turned and left her home.
She snapped her fingers, and all the items in the home were gone. It looked as if no one had ever lived there. There were even cobwebs in the corners. She took some powder out of a pouch and threw it in the air. She disappeared into thin air and was transported back to her coven.

Lorenzo had been told by the witch to take the baby into the woods and kill her. As he walked into the woods, the baby made such cute cooing sounds and smiled at him. How could this innocent child be of any harm to anyone? But he knew if he didn't, Gaja would know. She was an evil witch. He had seen her actions first hand. She had come to his village and killed his wife and child in front of him. She wanted him to be her lover, and he refused as he was already mated and had a family. She told him after she killed them that now he had no one, so he might as well be with her. Out of fear, he followed her, and, for the last few years, he had been her servant, lover, and minion. He did as he was told to do.
But he could not kill this innocent child. If it meant he would die, he would make sure this child survived. He walked out of the woods to a human city. He went to the hospital and put the baby in a wheelchair that was left outside the emergency entrance. He figured if she was in the human world, maybe Gaja would not be able to sense her or find her. He took one last look at the child and was mesmerized by her eyes. They were so unique. He walked away and started back to the woods. He would head back to the coven, and he would probably be killed. As he neared the middle of the woods, a fog came from nowhere. It circled him, and he began to choke. He knew this was Gaja's work, and he was going to die. He lay in the forest thinking of his mate and child. He would be with them soon. He only hoped he had saved the infant.
