King Chandra Prakash Brahma the sixth, Or for short people call him as King Rahma, disapprove of their relationship.
For years he tried letting Nagabath knows of his distaste.
Nagabath relationship with King Rahma was standoffish.
Queen Mayawati or Maya for short, Nagabath's mother, died when Nagabath was only the age of five.
Rahma himself was only 35 years old. Heartbroken of the tragedy of losing his beloved wife to a plague which was considered caused by the Demon God Kalanemi's evil curse.
Rahma did everything he could, spend on the best healers he could find to treat Maya, but it was too late.
The young King lost his queen due to a plague.
It shattered both Nagabath and Rahma into pieces, Maya was the pride of their life.
They always had been a happy family.
Within that year of her funeral, many things had happened.
The healers had finally found an antidote to cure the plague, their kingdom bloom of business since every other Kingdom that had been effected by the plague comes to seek for the cure.
They gifted them with gold, diamonds, jewels, pearls to all types of assortments to get the antidote.
As these arrangements were taking place, a beautiful Parsi belly dancer named, Draupathi came to their life.
She was a 36 years old rare beauty, having big doe eyes and thick long hair with curvaceous beauty, an entertainment gift from the Rashtrakutas Kingdom; She was one of the most famous belly dancer and Bharathanatiyam dancer in their district.
She was one of the gifts to King Rahma, for the antidote that saved his youngest daughter's Princess Meeraya's life.
Ever since Queen Maya died, The King was heartbroken.
King Rahma had his moments where he will drinks alcohol, for his sadness, which one day led him to have a one night stand with Draupathy.
Leaving Draupathy to be pregnant with Rahma's Son

A Prince or Princess of the Dynasty could only be married once.
There always be one king and queen.
Until the next heir takes their place.

Rahma started to have fun with Draupathy, though unwed and a year older than him. Yet, He truly appreciates her presence, at the same time guilty of his actions.
It never occurred before that a king had mad a commoner pregnant, even if it did, the royal would kill the baby or the mother or both.
In Rahma's case, He accepted Draupadi and his unborn child in her, Yet, not as his wife.
No, there will always be one king and Queen.
Mayawati will still be the late queen until Nagabath becomes a king one day where his bride of a royal blood will take Mayawathi's throne as Queen.
But in this case, Rahma took Draupathi as his lover.
Rahma honestly did adore her and Enjoyed at Draupathi's company.
After many arguments with the council , he won by acknowledged their son as royal blood on standing.
Nagabath anger and betrayal with his father started from here.
He hated the fact Rahma had replaced Maya within a year with a company of another woman.
Though Draupaty had tried her best winning his heart, Nagabth didn't have it.
Things got only complicated when Rahma tries to make them all be a family again.
" You will have a little sister or brother soon.." Rahma would try
" I don't want a sister or a brother, I want that w***e to be out " He would yell at his father.
" Son, We do not talk the mother of soon to be your sibling that way, at least try, all i ask is to try" Rahma would advice.
But Nagabath never had it.
Things only gotten more complicated, After the baby was born.
It was a boy, and King Rahma named him Ranabath.
There was this separation between Nagabath and both Draupathi and Ranabath.
Though Draupathi tried and tried her hardest to win Nagabath's heart.
Nagabath doesn't have it. He would yell at her and scream at her to back off.
He never once encouraged prince Ranabath or Rana for short as his brother.
"The Kings Bastard's child," he would call.

Nagabath became quite a rebel yet lived on his separate way.
At the age of fourteen he was sexually active and hire w****s, drinks rums to disobeying his father as best as he could.
Anything to make his father angry, he would entitled to do so.
However Nagabath does take things seriously on essential matters, when he was needed for a royal event

His Nanny, Kansara, is the only one who can calm him down.
Kansara is a young girl, just the age of 28. She had been there since the day Nagabath was born.
Kansara was an orphan in the age of fifteen when she lost both of her parents to a plague. It was Queen Maya who discovered of the orphan girl and hired Kansara as the nanny, for her son as well given a small room for her at the palace. Kansara was only 15 that time, But she did her best, she could help out raising Nagabath.
She could understand Nagabath's pain; She tried her best to give advice and be there for Nagabath.
She was also hired to help with Draupathi and the newborn prince Rana.
When Kansara turned 30, Kansara had finally fallen in love and was ready to get married and have a family of her own.
Nagabath was 16 that time; He left for his warrior training.
The timing was just perfect; he would only return three years after his training.
That's where he met his best friend Dhasaratha, currently the Knight of the kingdom.
He would have become a grown man by then, and would no longer be needed Kansara in his life.
Rana himself was about ten years old back then, Already old enough to understand Kansara's retirement from the palace.
Tragedy had struck again at the Maurya kingdom.
Draupathy died of a tragic accident when she falls from the stairs.
Some said she was dancing ; others said she slipped.
King Rahma heart was once again broken. Ranna was so upset.
Nagabath was in his training high at the mountains. Where Master Boomidharma school was held.
Nagabath was sixteen, Rannabath was twelve
Despite he doesn't like Draupathi nor Rannabath,
But after receiving the message from his white Owl from the palace of Draupathi's pass, He came for the funeral, stood until the 12th day and went back.
Rana seeing his brother ran and hugged him crying while Nagabath didn't encourage it.
He didn't say his condolence to his brother, who was just twelve cryings looking at his mother lifeless soul.
It did sadden Nagabath a little, he been there, he knows this is not easy for Ranna.
But just like Nagabath, Time heals, he thought.
and that's exactly what he told too
" Time Heals.." he said, looking at his half brother and went back to the mountains.
yes, things were hasty during his childhood.
And his relationship with both of his father and brother has always had been peculiar.
After Draupathi's passed. King Rahma moved to the western palace doesn't want to do anything with the eastern palace no more.
Rahman's heart was broken, losing both of the women, who he dearly loved and mothered his children.
As what Nagabath told,
Time did heal
After many years, Simrana came to his life.
He found her at the western palace, daughter of the palace florist.
There is enlightenment in his dark soul because of her
She made that happened.
King Rahma, on the other hand, disapprove of their relationship.
" As noted Rahma, It's against the law..." His trusty advisor and his best friend, General Suryavansha, started playing a game of Chaturanga another word Ramayana's chess.
" The boy's turning 35 in three full moons", he said... frustrated
" He needs to be married; if not, he would not get the throne."
Rahma wants Nagabath to get the throne, though he has two sons. Still, he wants his oldest; it's just fair; he is the oldest. He should be the ruler.
He moved the queen and stated
"checkmate," he told all of a sudden.
" I have a plan," Rahma said
" Alright, I'm listening.." Suryavansha told, rubbing his beard to hear what Rahma is going to say.
And indeed it was a plan,
Nagabath was currently at his chambers with Simrana; She was looking at Nagabath's chamber balcony view.
Admiring the mountain and the waterfall that swans were swimming around.
Nagabath was behind her and held her in surprise carrying her up and spinning her around, Simrana giggled,
" My prince....." she says laughing, He smirked listening to her chuckles, they are like fairy singing to his ears.
She is just too adorable.
" Sire, Message from the king, You are wanted in the courtroom ..." One of the soldiers bowed passing the message scroll.
Nagabath looks confused, gently dropping Simrana down.
Simrana confused herself... what would the King want Nagabath for.
Shrugging Nagabath kisses her cheek before leaving with the soldier to the orders
In the courtroom, the King was seated at the throne,
The council was there
as well as his brother
He had never paid any attention to his brother
Even now Ranabath is invisible to his eyes
" Prince Nababath, the council, have spoken, you have no choice to choose a bride from a royal bloodline and to get married by this two full moons..." One of the ministers told
" What is the meaning of this..." He asks his father, yes he knows, but it is the kings choice.
" What the minister says is if you do not get married to royal blood before the age of 35, your throne will be revoked, and you can never get it back.." the Councilmen told now, on his throne.
" If you do not get married by the age of 35" an elderly council member started
" the throne would be passed to Prince Ranna..." and another council member ended
"Me, The next King... Sweet..." Ranabath tells smirking. earning an angry jaw clenching glare from Nagabath.
" No wonder you chose Dhasara to be the Knight of this kingdom, You wanted to hand over the throne to me, " Ranna loves to annoy Nagabath. Yes, Nagabath did purposely chose Dhasara to be the Knight instead of Rannabath.
He does not want Nagabath to be in any position of the castle, not even a councilman.
" No... " Nagabath glares at Ranna, pissed off.
" No, but I thought..." Ranna started again
" Silence..." Nagabath yelled at him, Yup, strike 1 for Ranna, He does love to piss him off. It's entertainment for him. He will use this.
" I need to speak with my father alone...." Nagabath told.
The King agreed, and the councilmen left
" Alone... " He yelled at Rannabath.
Ranna pokes himself as if he's offended, smirking at Nagabath and left, not before bowing down, adding a pinch of salt to the wound sort, yes, Ranna loves to annoy the hell of Nagabath.
" Father, You know, that I love her..." He told
" Rules are Rules"
" Rules, than what do you call about your Bastard son.." again with all these years he would neverchange
" yet I did not marry his mother, and I accepted him because he has my blood, royal blood in him.." Yes Ranna caught him there.
" I am in love with Simrana; she is my life.."
"Then you have no choice but to leave the throne..."
" This is madness; your Kingdom could have never been established without my mother's bonds, she brought the Kingdom up, this belongs to me " As if Rahma doesn't know of this. Yes, it is true, partially the reason why he wants Nagabath to do this.
" Than do the right thing..." the King said
" Im in love with her old man, dont you understand..." he yells
" Lower your voice down son, I am still your father and king," Nagabath bitting his teeth angry looking at him
" You are a prince, you have responsibilities, responsibility for your people, your palace, your castle, your throne, to me... I wish there was away, but there is none, Rules were rules, it had been set since the ruling of gods themselves. You cannot change; I cannot change it... " Rahma stated
" You're the king, you can change this.." True yet Rahman does not want to change it's tradition that had been practised for the past five hundred years of the kingdom. Somethings are best to keep at traditions.
Rahma sighs as a responce,
" As a King, you led me no choice, the next full moon, there will be a ball in the palace, a ball invited for every Kingdom's oldest unmarried princess of the age of 26 to 33. It's easier this way to have limited choices yet her maturity would give us a rightful future queen soon. You are to make a decision to choose a bride then and there and you will get married on that same day. Iailure to do so, That day will be the day where your brother Prince Rannabath would take both mines and your mother's throne from you."
King Rahma is the current ruler and King that owns both Maya's and his Kingdom. This is not fair for Nagabath; this is not fair at all.
" This is not fair.." Nagabath yelled his distaste
" Whatever your decision is, there will be a ball on the second full moon, and the princess of the age from 26 to 33 will be there, it is your choice wanting to accept for the throne or decline to have no part being a royal no more... your brother will marry a girl , and take your place there" King Rana told,
Nagabath anger in his eyes walked out from the courtroom.
A couple of days after thinking about it
Devastated, Nagabath approached Simrana
" No, No, you cannot, please... please... I could never accept this" Simrana told crying
Nagabath belongs to her; He is her lover, her's alone, her prince, her life, her everything
how can she think him marrying another woman
" I have no choice Simrana, this had to be done, if I did not get married by this two full moon, my throne would be taken from me, Part of my father's kingdom is my mothers, this is not fair for my mother, she was a great ruler, I am her only bloodline and heir, I do not want this to be given to my bastard brother... I would loose it all" He tells pulling her on his lap
Simrana , understands where this is coming from, she does,
" I understand, yet, What about us, what about me.. I cannot take it, You are my love... where will I be" She wepts on his chest
" I'll make you a deal, I would go to the ball, but you are coming with me, You will choose who I get to marry, and I will marry her as your choice without a single protest... She will be just the women I marry, after I become a king, I will make you my queen" Nagabath tells
Simrana accepts the reality and accepts his deal as well
she will choose who Nagabath is to Marry
and She has a plan for it as well.
