Chapter Twenty-Three
“So, what are you doing here, Rese?” Axel started to question. “It’s too early in the morning if you don’t notice. You’re a hindrance just to make it simple.”
“Shut up, moron! Don’t mind him, Therese. You’re more than welcome today.” I slapped Axel’s back then gave Therese her plate of food as she smiled at me thankfully. I pass Axel’s plate but instead of taking it, he pulled me to him making me land on his lap.
“Axel!” I warned as I could feel my cheeks heating up once again, avoiding Therese’s curious eyes. But Axel ignored me and just held me more tightly so that I couldn’t get away. He propped his head on my shoulder then took the plate with his free hand and started to eat. In the end, I just sigh with defeat. Stupid demon.
