Blurb

On one cold stormy night, a wolf pup was abandoned at the Pine River Pack boarder. The Alpha couldn't in good heart leave a pup that young to fend for itself.

Ash grew up coming into her wolf at 16 like everyone else had, only to be left behind in finding a mate. At 21, and no mate. Everyone her age including her brother had found their mate at least a year or two after they turned 16. The Alpha throws a Masquerade ball in her honour, will she find her wolf? Prologue
On one of the more stormy days of the year, the Pine River Pack sat in the pack house just listening to the storm taking place. Unbeknown to them, the activities that were taking place on the edges of their border. After a fitful night of wind, thunder and rain, the pack was on the move. The alpha of the pack, Drew Marsdon, scenting something, was off the next morning and sent a group off to check out the boarders. "Alpha, you may want to come check this out," said Rodger, the packs beta mind linked. A touch of panic lined his thoughts. "Be right there." Drew linked back. He rolled over in his bed looking at his Luna, Aleah, fast asleep, her blonde hair fanning out on her pillow looking so peaceful, he gave her forehead a soft kiss, then got up to go out to the boarders to see what was so important. Once leaving the pack house, Drew shifted into his sliver wolf, taking off through the territory making to the boarders in under 10 minutes. Shifting back into his human form and looking at Rodger who was holding a bundle of blankets in his arms. Looking at the little bundle, he saw a white tuft of hair poking out from the soaking blankets. Shock filled his mind. Why would someone leave a baby in the middle of no where in the middle of a storm. His heart hurt for this little child. At that moment, he vowed to never let anything happen to this little one. "Hand over the child." Drew said, looking at his beta. Rodger did just that. Drew unwrapped the child from the blankets, looking to make sure he or she was at least OK, after being alone all night. He was surprised it managed to live through the night looking at the little thing. After a few minutes, he realized that the child was female, pale skin, very white hair and almost seafoam green eyes. She was lovely. The eyes, though, took him through a loop. There was something different about her eyes. Bringing her back to the pack house and waking up his Luna, they both agreed on the name Ash for this little girl and decided they would take her care, here in the pack house as if she was their own pup. Drew couldn't wait to introduce her to his 1-year-old son. They would grow up together and hopefully look after one another. He still could not believe that someone would leave this child like this. Drew sent a party out to try to get some information on Ash and to see what pack she may have come from. Nothing ever comes out of these outings, unfortunately. No scent was found, no tracks to follow. Whatever pack did this covered themselves well. He was glad she was found on time though, the thought of her being out there all alone, not being able to take care of herself. She was only a few weeks old if he was to guess.
