I could hear the one-sided conversation between Peter and Detective Byrd, and when Peter hung up the phone I looked at him, waiting for instructions.
"The detective wants us to keep the area clear and not let anybody trample any of the footprints we found. I think he'd also like us to keep it quiet, not letting anybody else know what we found. But, that's not going to happen. There are too many people out here.”
As if to prove Peter's point, I noticed that Peggy and Mr. Bowman were making their way over to us, curious about as to what was going on.
