Dreams and possibly a mistake.

"Oh, come on Elizabeth, it's just a little kiss. You don't have to be so shy about it." Elaine said softly while she looked Elizabeth over, biting her lip slightly at the view that she was getting. Elizabeth was in a pair of black skinny jeans and a grey, low cut shirt that hugged her body rather nicely and Elaine couldn't help but love the view. Elaine walked a little close to Elizabeth, reaching her hands out and lightly pulling at Elizabeth shirt hem, a slight blush on her own cheeks. Elaine looked up to see that Elizabeth was also blushing, though her blush was quite deeper than the one that was on her own face. "I-I don't think... I don't feel that's the best idea...y-you're my teacher a-after all." Elizabeth managed to stammer out while glancing down at the woman's hands. Elizabeth had been backing up the entire time as if she was trying to get out of Elaine's reach, though she suddenly stopped once she felt her back against a wall. Elaine smirked slightly and stood right in front of the blushing Elizabeth, biting her lip a little as she looked up at the girl. "No one has to know what happens here. I swear that I'm not going to be the one that says anything. All you have to do is say that you won't and we can do just about whatever we want." Elaine said in a low, suggestive tone, glancing at Elizabeth's lips as she spoke. Elaine watched as Elizabeth started biting her lip while once again looking down at the woman's hands, blushing slightly deeper. Elaine could see that Elizabeth was thinking about what had been said and it caused her to smirk ever so slightly. "I-I wouldn't tell anyone but-" Elizabeth started to say but once Elaine had gotten the answer that she had been looking for, she moved one of her hands and pressed a finger to Elizabeth's lips to silence her. Elaine slowly moved her finger off of Elizabeth's lips once she was sure that nothing else was going to be said. "Well, then what's so wrong about one little kiss?" Elaine asked while looking up at Elizabeth, raising her eyebrows slightly. Elaine bit her lip slightly as she took ahold of the hem of Elizabeth's shirt once again, playing with the hem of it at she looked at Elizabeth, patiently waiting on an answer. Once again, Elaine could see that Elizabeth was clearly thinking hard about what her answer would be, playing with her lip ring again as she stood there. After a moment, Elizabeth's cheeks flushed a little deeper and she shook her head slightly, like she was having an argument with herself or something of the sort. "One kiss wouldn't hurt..." Elizabeth said in a low voice while looking down at Elaine, biting her lip slightly. Elaine smiled a little at the answer that she had gotten and moved one of her hands off of Elizabeth's shirt, placing it on the girl's cheek gently. Elaine couldn't have been happier with the answer that she had gotten and planned on getting that kiss as soon as she could, as well as making sure that it lasted for quite a while. Elaine lightly ran her thumb over Elizabeth lips before standing on the tip of her toes, her hand moving to the base of Elizabeth's neck to pull her down slightly seeing as she was so much taller than Elaine. Elaine watched as Elizabeth started to close her eyes and smiled happily before starting to lean in. As she leaned in, Elaine closed her eyes as well, preparing herself for the feeling or Elizabeth's lips against her own. However, the feeling never came. Elaine's eyes suddenly snapped open when she heard her alarm clock go off. Groaning, Elaine rolled over and quickly turned her alarm clock off, sighing as she tossed her covers off of her as she sat up and hung her legs off the edge of her bed. She rubbed her eyes for a moment before running a hand through her hair as she thought about the dream that she had just had. Elaine lightly placed a few fingers to her lips, thinking about how close she had been before her damn alarm went off. She quickly shook her head and blushed as she realized that she actually wanted the dream to continue. Elaine wanted to kiss Elizabeth despite how much she knew she shouldn't. Groaning once again, Elaine got out of bed, running her hand through her hair once more before she made her way into the bathroom so that she could get ready for school which would be starting soon. It had been two days since Elaine had seen Elizabeth and she thought that they were the longest days ever. For some reason, she couldn't get the dark haired beauty out of her head. Just when she was walking around the house or even when she was grading papers, she couldn't help but let little thoughts of how Elizabeth looked the day of the open mic night slip into her mind. Not to mention the words that Elizabeth had left her to hang onto until they saw each other again. It was enough to drive a woman mad. When Elaine got out of the shower, she went ahead and dried her hair before heading to pick out something to wear, seeing as her hair had a slight curl to it already and she saw no need to do anything else to it. When she got to her closet, she walked inside and smiled softly as she looked at the hoodie of Elizabeth that she had kept. Just another reminder of Elizabeth. Sighing softly, Elaine walked a little deeper in her closet and grabbed a grey pencil skirt with a white button up shirt before heading back into her bedroom so that she could get dressed. About half an hour later, Elaine was sitting in her classroom going over some of the things that would be being taught in all of her classes today. She didn't really want to give any large assignments seeing as they were going to be getting off for Christmas break in a week and a half, so she was planning on having a few videos of WWII that the kids could watch because they were all still covering the subject. Being completely lost in thought and not expecting anyone, it was natural that Elaine jumped slightly when she heard someone knock on her classroom door. Looking up from her work, she raised her eyebrows slightly as to who could be at the door. Elaine stood up from where she was sitting, walking around to the front of her desk before calling out for the person to come on inside. When the door opened, the person that was standing in the doorway caused Elaine's heart to skip a beat slightly, leaving a smile on Elaine's face. "Elizabeth, what are you doing here so early? I thought you only had to be here early on Wednesdays?" Elaine asked while, looking back at her desk, moving a cup of pencils out of the way so that she could sit on the edge of her desk. Once they were out of the way she sat on the desk, crossing one leg over the other before pulling at her skirt slightly to make sure that nothing was exposed. Satisfied with how her skirt was, Elaine looked up at Elizabeth to find that the girl's cheeks were slightly flushed for some reason. Elaine smiled slightly before clearing her throat to get the girls attention once again. "I don't have to have a reason to come and see my favorite teacher do I? Because if so, I'm sure I could somehow lose an assignment that would cause me to have to see you anyway." Elizabeth said while shoving her hands in the pockets of her black skinny jeans, which Elaine was starting to assume were her favorite kind of jeans. She was wearing a tighter grey shirt, and a grey and black scarf that went well with the shirt. Elizabeth was also wearing a rather nice black winter over coat. "It would be a shame if you lost an assignment. I may even have to make you stay after today to make it up." Elaine said, while biting her lip slightly as she thought about spending some time after school with Elizabeth. The very girl that Elaine happened to be thinking about laughed her music-like laugh while smiling happily. "Staying after school with you might not be such a bad thing. I actually came to see if there was anything that you needed help with. I got here a little sooner than I thought I would because I actually drove here today." Elizabeth said, while walking over to stand a little closer to Elaine, her hands coming out of her pants pockets as she sat on the student desk that was right in front of Elaine. The woman bit her lip slightly while thinking before shaking her head slightly. "Sadly, I can't find a reason that would make you stay her longer or bring you back here sometime." Elaine said, at first not realizing that she had added the word 'sadly'. Elizabeth however seemed to pick up on this and smirked slightly while looking Elaine over once. Elaine raised her eyebrows slightly, wondering why Elizabeth was smirking. "So you're sad to say that I won't be coming back?" Elizabeth asked as she got up from her makeshift seat on the desktop, walking to stand right in front of Elaine. Elizabeth was so close that she could feel Elizabeth's jacket against her knees and it caused her to blush slightly. Even though Elizabeth's face wasn't that close, having Elizabeth just being that close caused her heart to pound and her cheeks to flush no matter how much she tried to push it away or how much her brain was screaming at her that she shouldn't be acting like this. "M-Maybe a little. Moving on, I have something that I want to talk to you about since you're here. I know what you told me about your parents wasn't real and I just want to know why you're hiding what happened to them. I-I mean, losing your parents isn't something to be-" Elaine was suddenly cut off from what she had been saying when Elizabeth suddenly told her to stop. Her tone was rather harsh and it was one that Elaine had gotten before and didn't like it at all. Suddenly Elaine realized how much of a nerve she had hit when mentioning Elizabeth parents. "Just, stop. My parents are on a business trip overseas in London. I don't know what made you think that what I told you wasn't real." Elizabeth said, her voice still slightly harsh and indifferent. Elaine looked at Elizabeth for a moment before getting off of her desk, standing a few steps away from Elizabeth seeing as the younger girl distanced herself from the older woman. Elaine thought back to the pamphlet that she had seen as well as the names that went along with it. "Then who are Natalie and James Grey? I saw the pamphlet in your car when we were getting ready to head to the soccer fields. Loving parents and friends. They will be missed dearly. That's what it said under the picture." Elaine explained while looking at Elizabeth closely. The dark haired girl's jaw was suddenly set and her bright eyes closed for a moment before opening, this time shining slightly when they looked over Elaine. "You think I don't know what it says? Hell, I look at the damn thing every time I get in my car! It's just another reminder that my Aunt and Uncle will never walk into my house again." Elizabeth stated, clearly starting to get a little emotional over having to talk about Natalie and James. Elaine looked at Elizabeth once again and swore that she could see something rolling down Elizabeth's face. Elaine felt her stomach twisting and knew that this had been a bad idea now that she was able to see just how much Elizabeth was affected by this. "Elizabeth...I... I'm so sorry that I pressed it...i-it's none of my business. I...I just want you to know someone's there for you when you need them." Elaine stammered, trying to apologize for upsetting Elizabeth though there was something inside her, a very small something that told her she shouldn't be sorry for expressing her curiosity. Hell, she was still curious because there was that all too familiar gaze that that man in the photo gave off that told her Elizabeth was more closely related to the man and woman. Elaine was pulled from her thoughts when she heard a rather loud scoff, causing her to look over at Elizabeth. Elaine was now looking at the backside of the younger girl and given it was at a different time, Elaine would have loved to see this side but now she knew that Elizabeth was about to leave. "Sure, that's what they all say but the moment you need someone, not a damn person is there. Believe me, I've been left alone one to many times to believe that shit." Elizabeth said once again speaking in a harsh tone before she walked to the door rather quickly, not caring that the door slammed shut behind her. Elizabeth was clearly too pissed to care about the door or what the rest of the hallway would think about the little outburst. For a few moments, Elaine just stood there and thought about what had happened. Mainly how Elizabeth had started to react when Elaine decided to throw out two names. Was the tough, bad-ass rebel of the school that torn up simply when the names were said? If so, Elaine had a feeling that the people in that photo were a lot closer to Elizabeth than just an Aunt and Uncle. Elaine stood there for another moment before going to sit at her desk once again, unable to stop thinking about what had happened and how it was going to change the way that Elizabeth acted or opened up when around Elaine. The day carried on as usual after the fight. Elaine taught her classes whenever she had one, planned future classes during her planning period and attended a meeting during her lunch period despite the fact that she didn't want to. It was just another day at school once the school bell had rang to signify that it was the start of the school day. Elizabeth didn't show her face to Elaine at all in the hallway and honestly, Elaine hadn't expected her too. However, Elaine knew that Elizabeth would have to show her face for class and she was hoping that maybe she could hold Elizabeth after to apologize for what happened. When is was time for 6th period to start, Elaine was leaning against her desk with a roster out, marking off the names of kids as they walked in the door. When Elaine was getting ready to put the roster away, Elizabeth walked in the door, a clearly unhappy look on her face as she took her seat in the back of the class room. Elaine looked at her for a moment before looking back out at the class. Elaine gave the class a smile before telling them that today was going to be a more laid back day after they read one chapter out of the textbook. There were a few groans as students started to get out the World History textbooks that they had been issued, though those groans soon stopped when Elaine promised a video for the rest of the class. As the class started to read the chapter, Elaine walked behind her desk and started getting everything ready for the remainder of the class. Once the video was in her laptop and her laptop was hooked up to the projector, Elaine took a look around the room to see how the class was doing even when she only wanted to check on one person. Elizabeth was in her seat, her textbook clearly not on her desk as she moved the pencil in her hand around on the desk. Elaine sighed slightly, knowing that the girl was drawing once again. Elizabeth clearly wasn't in the mood to do History work and this proved true when Elaine started the video and Elizabeth soon fell asleep with her head resting on her hand while her elbow rested on the table. Time flew while the movie was being played and soon enough the bell that released students to go to their next class rang and Elaine looked the class over before telling them that they could read the next chapter for homework if they didn't want to have to read it in class. As all of the other students started filling out of the classroom, Elaine noticed one person that remained in her seat. Elizabeth. Once everyone was out of the classroom, Elaine walked back to Elizabeth's desk, getting ready to wake her up with a gentle shake before suddenly stopping. As she looked down at Elizabeth, she couldn't help but notice just how peaceful Elizabeth seemed when sleeping. The cute little way that her lips parted slightly as she peacefully slept. She also noticed how the girl's bangs hung in her eyes slightly and couldn't stop herself when she reached out and moved some of the girls hair out of her eyes and got a little closer to her. That's when Elaine had no idea what came over her. She suddenly found herself leaning in, closing her eyes before placing a gentle kiss on Elizabeth's rather soft lips, keeping them there for a moment until Elizabeth started waking up and quickly pulled out of the kiss, her eyes slightly wide in surprise. Elaine had just done what she had wished to do for a while and now, she was wondering just how much she could have messed up.
