Feelings for Ms. Watson

2656 Words
Four days. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and soon Friday had all passed and Elizabeth hadn't talked to Elaine about what happened. She hadn't even tried. In fact, she tried just the opposite. Every chance that Elizabeth got that was free, she crammed something in the space so she seemed like she was always busy, meaning that she didn't have time to talk to anyone about anything. Inside the classroom and out, she kept to herself more than ever because she didn't want to be around anyone that could possibly ask questions about why she was avoiding Ms. Watson or anything like that. Elizabeth showed up to Elaine's classes right before the bell rang and left the moment after, leaving no room for Elaine to ask her to stay after to talk things over. Elizabeth wasn't angry about what had happened, not angry at all. Shocked, yes, but not angry that Elaine had done what she did because honestly, Elizabeth had wanted to do the same thing when Elaine had come onto her after a few too many drinks that night that Elizabeth took her home. At the moment, Elizabeth just needed to think about what she was going to say or do the next time that she actually stopped for a moment and decided to confront Elaine about the kiss. Right now, confronting Elaine was all that Elizabeth could think about. She knew she had to at some point, but then again that would mean that she herself would have to face her own feelings for the goddess of a woman that she called her History teacher. Yes, Elizabeth felt the same way about the woman that had kissed her, knowing that if someone found out about her feelings as well as the woman's returned feelings, things would not go over well for either of them. Especially Elaine because the woman had way more to lose the Elizabeth did. Elizabeth was pulled out of her thoughts of a confession when she heard the school bell ring, meaning it was time for her to finally head home. However, she wasn't exactly free yet because suddenly her 9th period teacher told her to go see Elaine because the teacher had called for her. Elizabeth took a deep breath before getting her backpack off the locker room floor, also grabbing her gym bag before she walked out of the locker room and into the gym lobby. Soon, Elizabeth was back in the main school building and heading down the history hallway before knocking on Elaine's door. After hearing at woman tell her to come inside, Elizabeth did just that while playing with her lip ring slightly before starting to bite her lip a little nervously. When she walked inside the classroom, Elaine stood up from her desk, having been sitting on it. Elizabeth blushed slightly as she looked at the blonde's legs, unable to keep her eyes from wondering over them. Elaine told Elizabeth to have a seat, though Elizabeth shook her head and shifted slightly on her feet as if she couldn't stand to sit still for too long. Elaine seemed to notice this and decided that it was best that she go ahead and get to the point of why she had brought Elizabeth to her classroom. Elaine walked over and closed the door of the classroom before slowly turning around to face Elizabeth. Elizabeth raised an eyebrow slightly while watching Elaine as she walked back to her desk, biting her lip before folding her hands in front of her, looking down at them for a few moments before looking back up at Elizabeth, her cheeks slightly flushed as she did so. "I... I’m sorry...what I did, I shouldn't have done that...I-I truly don't-" Elaine started to try and explain before stopping when Elizabeth cleared her throat, causing Elaine to look up at her. Elizabeth shoved her hands in her pockets before starting to turn around so that she was facing the door. Elizabeth didn't say anything at first, though when she finally glanced back at Elaine, she shook her head slightly before starting to walk over to the door. "Look, you don't have to be sorry for what you did. I'm not going to tell anyone about it, so it's not something you need to worry yourself over. I've got to get going...soccer..." Elizabeth mumbled the last part before pulling one hand out of her pocket as she walked to the door, opening it and walking out of the room, not really wanting to hear anything about the kiss for the moment because she was still trying to figure out for herself what and how she planned on doing in response. Having lied about where she was going, Elizabeth really needed to think of a place that she could go and gather her thoughts. Her first thought was of home, but seeing as it was the weekend, Elaine could stop by her house seeing as she knew where Elizabeth lived. Elizabeth needed a place that she was her own, somewhere she thought no one would bother to look for her at. While walking to her motorcycle, Elizabeth soon thought of a place that she thought no one would look for her. As she pulled on her helmet, she took one last look around the parking lot, getting one last look at what she was going to be gladly missing for the next two days. Getting on the bike, Elizabeth started it up, causing a few students to look at her funny before she pulled out of her parking space, making her way off of the school grounds so that she could head home before. She needed to take care of a little kitten before changing into something a little more appropriate for what she planned on doing after Shadow was taken care of. Elizabeth arrived at home roughly 10 minutes later, pulling her motorbike into the backyard so that no one tried to damage it in anyway. It was her final birthday gift from her parents before they passed and she didn't want anyone to mess with the bike. After having parked the motorcycle in the backyard, she closed the gate and locked it before walking up the stairs of her back porch, unlocking the back door before she walked inside. Elizabeth was happily greeted by Shadow as he happily rubbed against her legs. Smiling, she reached down and picked him up, lightly scratching under his chin while kicking the back door shut. Elizabeth walked to the pantry while still scratching under the little guys chin before setting him down as she got out the food for him. After having Shadow fed, Elizabeth darted upstairs to her bedroom, pulling the scarf off of her neck as she did so that she could start changing. About 20 minutes later Elizabeth came downstairs in a pair of black basketball shorts, a black loose-fitting shirt and a pair of Nike running shoes on her feet. She had a pair of black, shin high socks in one hand while she had a pair of Puma soccer cleats in her other. The cleats had belonged to her mother, though since Elizabeth's mother wasn't much of a soccer player as a teen, she took them to the store, got a bigger size and then passed them off to Elizabeth hoping that she could get some use out of them. Elizabeth walked down the stairs the rest of the way and opened the door to the little closet under the stairs, reaching in and grabbing the black and grey athletic duffle bag that was in there. Once she had it, she unzipped it and tossed both the shoes and socks in before heading to the front door. Elizabeth only stopped when she felt Shadow start to rub against her leg. She smiled and looked down at him, bending down as she reached out and scratched behind his ear before picking him up, only to set him back down after kissing his forehead. Once Elizabeth was sure that Shadow had headed back into the living room, she walked out the front door, locking it behind her once it was closed. After checking the locks, she turned around then headed to her car. She unlocked the doors while she was walking over there and once she got inside she tossed the duffle bag in the passenger seat before buckling in then starting the car. Starting the car, she quickly backed out of the driveway and started her drive to the soccer field. The drive there was about 30 minutes long and so far Elizabeth had been joying the peace and quiet that the ride was bringing until it started to rain about halfway through the car ride. This didn't change Elizabeth's mind however. She still planned on going to the soccer field to kick some goals. After all, she wasn't going to melt if she was out in a little bit of rain. Elizabeth soon arrived at the soccer field and parked the car where she normally did, turning the car off before reaching over to the passenger side, unzipping the duffle bag where she grabbed the socks as well as the cleats. She took her socks and shoes off, replacing them with the higher socks and cleats before she pulled her hair back in a loose bun. Grabbing her car keys as well as the little plastic bag that was in the duffle bag and got out of the car. Once she was out in the rain she couldn't help but smile as she walked to the trunk. Unlocking it, she reached in and took out the bag of soccer balls out of the back, tossing the bag over her shoulder before closing the trunk then locking the car and placing the keys in the zip lock bag to keep them from getting wet. With everything that she needed she headed towards the field. Elizabeth had been out on the field for about an hour, lining up soccer ball after soccer ball on the penalty line before kicking them in one after the other. Little did Elizabeth know, Elaine was currently looking for her everywhere that she could think of. The club, her home, the little café where they had lunch and then even the little café where open mic night was. So far, Elaine had had no success and was getting ready to give up until she remembered Elizabeth had mentioned something about soccer before leaving her room. That's when Elaine remembered that Elizabeth could be at the fields, and that where she set off to. Roughly 30 minutes after Elaine had decided that she was going to check the soccer fields, Elizabeth saw the headlights of someone's car light up the field for a second before they turned off. Elizabeth kicked the last soccer ball into the net and looked over at the car, finding that it was a familiar Dodge Dart. She only gave herself a moment to look at the car before she walked over to the goal and started kicking the soccer balls back out to the penalty line so she could kick them again. After having them were she wanted it, she took a step back before giving it a rather strong kick, sending it into the top right corner of the net. "Elizabeth, can we talk? Please?" Elizabeth heard a voice say over the rain, right after she got ready to kick another goal. She stopped where she was at, looking down at the ground for a moment before turning around and looking over at Elaine. Elizabeth could see that any signs of makeup that Elaine had been wearing were gone, most likely having been removed because of the rain. She could tell that Elaine had been standing out in the rain for a lot longer than a few seconds because the light brown jacket that Elaine had wrapped around her had taken on a dark brown color and her hair was almost soaking wet, sticking to her face in some places. Elizabeth understood that it was practically pouring outside, but that still wasn't enough to already have the woman drenched. "I'm assuming that you tracked me down to talk about what happened, despite the fact that I told you it was nothing to worry about." Elizabeth said, loud enough to where she could be heard over the noise of the rain while watching Elaine walk closer to her. Elaine nodded a little before starting to bite her lip slightly as if she were thinking about something rather hard before deciding to speak up. "Nothing to worry about? Elizabeth, you're my student! If someone were to even get ahold of the fewest words that lead them to finding out, I'm going to lose my job and I'm sure you'll never hear the end of it from your classmates." Elaine started, clearly showing that she was worried about what would happen to Elizabeth just as much as she was worried what would happen to herself. Elizabeth chucked slightly, unable to help herself. She just loved how Elaine was worried about Elizabeth when she herself clearly had more to lose. "Elaine, don't worry about what I would have to go through if word of the kiss was to get out. I'll get made fun of for being a lesbian and being into older women. Its wouldn't be the worst thing that would cause me to get picked on, believe me. Don't worry about me, and I swear to you that I would never tell someone about what's happened unless you and I both know they can be fully trusted." Elizabeth said gently while reaching out and taking ahold of Elaine's hands, squeezing them while Elaine looked down at the ground. Elizabeth gave Elaine's hands once more squeeze to try and tell her that everything was going to be okay. It took Elaine a moment before she finally looked up at Elizabeth, biting her lip slightly. Elizabeth could see that Elaine was clearly thinking something over and she didn't want to say anything that would mess with her thoughts. After a moment of thinking, Elaine pulled her hands out of Elizabeth’s, shaking her head slightly while looking a little worried. "Thank you for...for saying that you won't say anything. I-If something like that gets out w-we'll both pay for it a-and I'm sure that it won't be pretty. A... also I want to say sorry...I shouldn't have kissed you when you were sleeping. Y-you just looked so cute and...and I knew I would have done it at some point, I-I just shouldn't have taken-" Elaine suddenly stopped talking when Elizabeth took her face gently in both hands before pressing their lips together. Elizabeth had wanted to do that for quite some time after she was kissed by Elaine and now seemed like a good time. Maybe save the woman from an embarrassing rambling session. When Elizabeth had pressed her lips to Elaine's she hadn't exactly expected to get a response from Elaine. She had kind of just closed her eyes and leaned in, hoping for the best. Though, when Elaine started to kiss back, Elizabeth didn't make a move to stop her. Elizabeth moved her lips against Elaine's soft, wet ones, blushing a little when she felt Elaine's hands grip the bottom of Elizabeth's shirt. The kiss lasted for quite a while and the only reason Elizabeth pulled away was because she was dying for air. Resting her forehead against Elaine's for a moment while she caught her breath before Elaine stood flat footed again and Elizabeth stood up a little. She looked down at Elaine, moving one of her thumbs to lightly run over Elaine's lips smiling softly when Elaine kissed it. "Has anyone told you ramble when you're nervous and that it's really damn cute?" Elizabeth asked while smiling happily down at Elaine, blushing slightly.
