"Ms. Watson, what are you doing here?" Elizabeth asked, referring to the fact that her very own history teacher was sitting across from her in a cheap bar stool in the only club in the little town of Elgin. Not to mention that the very club was an LGBT club. Elizabeth would have never pictured Ms. Watson as the type of person to walk into a club like this, yet here the woman was, clearly not trying to hide the fact that she was there either.
At the question, Elaine raised her eyebrows slightly, biting her lip ever so slightly. Clearly, Elaine was here to have a drink, and that is what she had been doing the entire time that she wasn't chatting up the blonde woman that had just been sent home in a cab. Elaine smiled slightly before giving a slight hiccup, telling Elizabeth that it was time for Elaine to be cut off from anymore alcohol for the remainder of the time that she was in the bar.
"Clearly, I-I'm here to have a few drinks." Elaine slurred as she smiled at Elizabeth, leaning in a little. Elizabeth rolled her eyes slightly, having picked up on the fact that Ms. Watson was here to drink. When the woman leaned forward, Elizabeth bit her lip slightly as she got a rather good view down the top of the woman's low cut green t-shirt. Elizabeth felt her cheeks flush ever so slightly and immediately looked away from the woman's chest to her face.
"Well, I can see that. I meant what are you doing in an LGBT club? Or were you not aware of the fact?" Elizabeth asked, as she crossed her arms over her chest, raising her eyebrows slightly in wonder. Elaine just smiled.
"Of course, I know what kind of club this is, I parked right in front of the little sign. I'm here because I can be. The 'L' does stand for lesbian doesn't it?" Elaine answered while smiling widely at this, not being shy about who she was whatsoever. Elizabeth seemed a little shocked to find out that her History teacher was like her. A lesbian. Elizabeth would have never guessed it, though that's the way that it is with most gay people. Some of them are more obvious while others aren't.
"Yeah, that is what the 'L' stands for, but I would have never pegged you as a lesbian." Elizabeth said truthfully as she reached under the bar and grabbed a rag so that she could wipe off a section of the bar in front of the chair beside Elaine. Just as she did this, someone else sat down there and ordered a beer, which Elizabeth gladly gave to the man with a kind smile on her face.
"Well, I would have never pegged you as a person to work at a place like this, so it looks like we were both surprised by something tonight." Elaine said, which caused Elizabeth to nod slightly. Elizabeth opened her mouth to say something in reply before quickly shutting it as she heard a familiar voice shout at someone else. Immediately, Elizabeth tossed the rag back under the bar before starting to make her way around the bar and towards the crowd.
"What the hell do you think you're doing? All over my Nick like that, have you lost your mind?" Elizabeth could hear Jeremy, Nick's boyfriend, yelling at someone. She didn't need to see what had happened to know what the fight was over. Someone had clearly danced with the wrong person, and Jeremy was definitely pissed and most likely drunk on top of that.
"Hey, you weren't dancing with him, so I assumed that he had come here alone. If you don't want someone all over him, then maybe you shouldn't just leave him all alone in here." A higher male voice replied and Elizabeth assumed that was the man that had chosen to try and dance with Nick. Elizabeth was still pushing her way through the crowd of people who had now stopped dancing to the music to listen in on the fight that was going on.
Soon Elizabeth was close enough to hear something being mumbled before she vaguely saw the smaller blonde get pushed rather hard by a taller brunette. Jeremy. Wanting to keep a fight from breaking out, Elizabeth gave one last final effort to push through the crowd and managed to break free into the space between the two men only to have it come back and bite her in the ass. The moment that she was facing the smaller male, a fist flew at her face and connected with her lip, causing her to stagger back into Jeremy slightly. The man may have been smaller, but he packed a hell of a punch.
The group of people that were immediately around Jeremy and the blonde gasped when the punch connected, not having expected Elizabeth to be the one to get hit. Elizabeth made sure to quickly push herself up to a stand, moving her right hand to her lip. With the back of it, she lightly pressed it to her lip and pulled it away, to find that her lip was definitely busted and bleeding. Nick, a black-haired male in glasses, looked as if he was about to say something to Jeremy but Elizabeth shook her head, telling him not to.
"Both of you listen to me. Blondie, I suggest you don't try to dance with Nick again and go find someone else to dance with. Also celebrate the fact that I'm not kicking you out for almost starting a fight. Now, Jeremy, I can smell the alcohol on you so why don't you hand me your keys?" Elizabeth said, looking at the blonde when she addressed him and then spinning around when she addressed Jeremy. The brunette mumbled something about how the other man had started it as he fished his keys out of his back pocket and held them in the air for Elizabeth to take. She did just that and turned around to face Nick, tossing him the keys before nodding to him.
"Jeremy, babe, come on. Let's head home." Nick said as he walked over and took ahold of Jeremy's hand, gently starting to pull him through the crowd of people. When he passed by Elizabeth he gave her his thanks, which she nodded her head to. Once the bell to the front door could be heard, Elizabeth turned her attention to the rest of the people in the bar, raising her hands in the air slightly to get their attention.
"Aright everyone, go back to what you were doing! The party is only starting for some of you!" Elizabeth called out which immediately got a reaction as several people in the club yelled 'yeah!' while other gave hoots of approval. Elizabeth gave a slight smile despite the fact that the ordeal had given her a busted lip, which she would proudly sport due to the fact that she wasn't afraid to show that she got hurt at times. That same smiled remained on Elizabeth's face as she walked back over to the bar, walking around it and soon standing in front of Elaine once again.
"Are you...alright?" Elaine asked, stopping halfway through her sentence to hiccup slightly. Elizabeth nodded and looked at the man that had sat down beside the woman not too long ago, getting him a second beer as she took his empty bottle. She tossed the empty bottle in the trash can while grabbing a new cold one, twisting off the cap before she handed it to him. Once the male was satisfied with the beer, Elizabeth turned her attention back to Elaine while nodding one again.
"Never been better." Elizabeth said while smiling softly at Elaine. Elaine raised her eyebrow slightly before shrugging slightly. Elaine mumbled something that Elizabeth couldn't hear, so she shrugged it off and looked around the bar to see if there was anyone else that she could help. Elaine watched her for a moment before biting her lip slightly as she asked for another drink. Elizabeth just chuckled slightly and shook her head. There was no way that Elizabeth was about to give Elaine anymore alcohol.
"Come on...I-I haven't had that much." Elaine slurred while hiccupping halfway through her sentence once again. Elizabeth chuckled slightly before holding a hand out for Ms. Watson's key, knowing that there was no way that the woman would be driving out of here by herself.
"Ms. Watson, if you can walk a straight line I won't take your keys from you." Elizabeth said, knowing just how that would turn out. Here in a moment, Elizabeth would have her second pair of keys for the night, and that meant that there would be two less drunk people on the roads tonight. Elaine nodded before getting off of her bar stool, staggering slightly before she got her balance back.
"It's Elaine and I'll show you a straight line." Elaine said while setting her keys on the bar to show that she was willing to go through with the little wager. As Elaine moved to get to a spot that she could walk the line, Elizabeth grabbed the keys and stuck them in her pocket, assured that she would get them in the end. Sure enough, when Elaine started to walk her line, she started to curve to one side and ended up almost losing her balance at one point, causing Elizabeth to chuckle slightly.
"Thanks for the keys Elaine." Elizabeth said as she chuckled slightly once again, walking to the shelves behind the bar and getting ready to drop Elaine's keys in the key box, which was always taken to the manager's office at the end of the night. Elaine huffed slightly while jutting out her lower lip in a little pout.
"How am I supposed to get home then?" Elaine asked while raising an eyebrow. Elizabeth thought for a moment, remembering that Elaine didn't seem to be talking to the same person over and over again, so that most likely meant that she had come here alone. Elizabeth thought for a moment before putting the keys back in her pocket as she walked over to a rather short, brunette man who was working behind the bar with her.
"James, I'm going to go ahead and take off for the night. Elaine needs a ride and I've got to take care of Shadow, I'll see you again tomorrow night." The male nodded before Elizabeth walked around to Elaine's side of the bar, pulling out the keys to her motorcycle as she headed to stand beside the woman. Elaine looked at the keys and seemed to understand what Elizabeth was offering and smiled slightly.
"Oh~ taking home your teacher I see?" Elaine said while giggling a little, causing Elizabeth to blush slightly. That's not how she meant it when she had pulled out her keys.
"N-Not like that! I'm just giving you a ride home because you can't drive." Elizabeth said while nodding a little bit to herself as she looked away from Elaine slightly as her cheeks heated up a little more at the thought of taking her home in a different sense. Elizabeth shook the thought from her head, knowing that she shouldn't think like that about her teacher. Elaine giggled slightly again before walking over to stand beside Elizabeth, wrapping an arm around Elizabeth's waist.
"Oh~ are you sure that you're only giving me a ride?" Elaine whispered in Elizabeth's ear, causing the younger girl to shiver slightly. Elizabeth's cheeks flushed ever so slightly deeper as she nodded her head before she started to walk towards the door of the club, pulling Elaine with her as she went. Elaine giggled at the reaction she had gotten while happily following right behind Elizabeth. Now that the girl was close enough to Elaine, her flirty drunk side was starting to kick in and she knew that this night would be fun.
Elizabeth felt a little differently about how the night was going to go. Having to take home her drunk History teacher? Her flirty drunk History teacher? A teacher she had thought about as more than just a teacher? Oh, yeah. This night was going to be really interesting. When Elizabeth walked around the corner and started walking towards her motorcycle, the look that Elaine had on her face told her that this was going to be the most interesting ride that she had ever went on.
