*******Chapter 1******* Three best friends; Camia, Emilia and Natasha walked down the school's hallway as they talked to one another. Camia is the last child out of three and only daughter of the president of the country. Emilia is the third child out of five and first daughter of one of the top senates in the country. Natasha is the first child out of two and she is the first daughter of the governor of the state. City of Gold Academy is the most popular school in the country,known to be added by children of prominent families. It is located in the capital of the country just after the most popular shopping mall. Morning lessons were over and it was time for recess and students were moving to the cafeteria to have lunch. "Excuse me". A voice was heard behind the three friends making them halt and turn. "Dylan". Camia said before chuckling. "Can i have a word with you,Tasha". Dylan said to Natasha who gave no attention to him. "You know what Tasha,i and Emy will wait for you at the cafeteria". Camia said still chuckling as she and Emy left. "Tasha". Dylan called. "What is it Dylan". Tasha asked. "Haven't i told you to stay away from me". She added. "I tried but i can't". Dylan replied. "What do you mean you can't?". Tasha asked. "Tasha please just give us a chance". Dylan said holding her wrist. "Get your hands off me". Tasha said as she forcefully let go of his grip. "The both of us cannot work". Tasha shouted. "We cannot work". She added before walking out. "I'm not quitting". Dylan said to himself with a smirk as he watched Tasha walk out of his sight. ******************** "Must you make your emotions obvious?". Emy asked as she and Camia walked towards an empty table with their trays in their hands. "What are you talking about?". Camia asked confused as they set their meals on the table before seating down. "The way you reacted to Dylan wasn't fair".Emy said "Ohhh".Camia said remembering. "You are making obvious you dislike him". Emy said. "Was i suppose to pretend i like him ?. Even the girl he is wooing doesn't like him".Camia said. "Tasha just needs to give him a thought, she's just judge him too deep". Emy said. "He's never done anything decent so yeah i think he's worth the judgement "Camia said. "Tasha". Emy called the instant she sighted Tasha. "Dylan is just so annoying ". Tasha said sitting down. "I don't know if he doesn't understand that we can't work, he keeps pestering my life, like what the f**k is he's problem"Tasha complained. "You need to take it easy girl". Emy said and just then Leonard walked in. "Hey pretties". He greeted before moving to Emy who he peck on the lips which made her blush hard. "See you later". He said with a wink before leaving . "Why can't i get a guy like Leo" Tasha said. " You are indeed lucky, Emy" Camia added. "Let's stop the talking and dig into our meals already ". Camia said as the proceeded to taking their cutlery. ********************** In a large conference room, there was a meeting going on between the president and the members of the council which included the governor,senates,top politicians which in total constituted of thirty three members. They have been on a talk for almost forty five minutes. Every one except the president have been giving their suggestions which was always opposed. "You say we take loans from other countries to pay off the mafias. Let me remind you that we still owe alot of countries so taking another loan will add up to the debt". One of the top politicians said. "How about pleading with the mafias to give us more time". A governor asked. "That is literally what we have been doing for long and soon the mafias will loose patience and we all know what that means. Another governor said. "What if we pay in any amount we have to the mafias". A Senate asked. "Remember,the mafias said they want their money in full". Another politician said and silence came after. The president kept thinking in different angles but he couldn't get an answer. "What if we tell the mafias that we can't come up with the money?". A Senate asked. "That is a NO, we can't do that,do you want the entire country to be wiped out?". Another Senate asked. "Then what do we do?" A governor asked. "The money requested of them is way too much". The governor added. The president cleared his throat, calling the attention of everyone. When he was certain that he has gotten the attention he needed,he sat up. "Since no one could come up with what we should do to the mafias, this meeting is adjourned to next week". He said standing. "Have a nice day ". He said lastly before leaving the conference room,on getting outside he's security guards trailed behind. The vehicle drove with a driver and a security guard together with the company of 4 other cars which had security guards in them. The vehicles drove for minutes through the high way before entering the main street.
