Morning soon came and I was all set for one hell of a vacation.
Nana stood on the porch all smiles and cheerfully waving at us like this wasn't the worst idea she ever had.
“ Have fun my darling and Alex,” she called out, her tone dripping from excitement. “ Make sure you take care of her. I'll be watching you.”
Alex smirked, giving her a thumbs up. “ of course, I'll take care of her”
I snorted under my breath. Yeah, right.
Nick stood awkwardly beside her, his hands shoved in his pocket. I refuse to even glance at him. He hasn't apologized yet.
“ Bye, Nana,” I said, forcing a half-hearted smile.
“ Bye, sweetheart, call me if you need to set him straight,” she replied, raising her cane. “ Enjoy yourself”
