Dusk

"Sir your coffee and your 10am is here to see you" Amanda says as she steps in with a cup of hot coffee, smartly dressed in a simple blue figure hugging knee length gown and black heels. " Sir, Mr Carter, sir your...." Anna.......... he wakes screaming as Amanda shakes him up over the table. "What am i, why....what the heck am i doing here" he asks looking coldly with a spot of an icy glare at her. "Sorry to have disturbed your sleep sir but you see uhm" she stutters for a bit "you were in a fit as though you were being hunted in the present and subconscious as well so i had to wake you" he looks down at his sweaty palms, schooled his expression " I see you have my coffee thank you, what year is this? he asks with a puzzled look leaving Amanda more than just confused "2016 sir, if that's all sir may i please take my leave sir" she turns towards the door. " You Know what, have my 10am rescheduled for 13:00 tomorrow afternoon and cancel all my appointments for today as i'll be working from home, also have a dozen red roses delivered to my home addressed to Anna Mckaylan". "Right on it boss" answered Amanda, "oh and you can have the rest of the day off" he nodded courtly towards her as she made her way out through the glass door of his office.
