THE PARTY

At exactly 7:15 am Lucas's cell phone began to ring while Lucas was still deeply asleep didn't want to reach for the phone, for if he does the action might have affected his deep sleep, yet the phone continued consistently, Lucas had no choice but to check and pick up. " hello! Who is this" he said in such a drowsy voice, everyone knows that when Lucas goes to bed, no one dares to wake him up.

He always says "anything can wait" only this time he went to bed without switching off his cell phone. "Who is this"? He asked again and as he waited for a reply " hey buddy, it's me Micheal" the fellow said, Micheal is his friend they do almost everything together before he went off the grid. The sleep was completely wiped from Lucas's eyes "Michi, is that you, where the heck are you, man"? Lucas asked, it's been three years since he last heard from him, and everyone he asked kept telling him he just disappeared, and no one seemed to know where he was.

"Hello Hello!! Michi, where are you"? Lucas asked anxiously waiting for Michi to reply. "Lucas chill, take a chill pill, are you going to let me speak"? He asked in a rather annoying " you f*****g bastard, you don't get to alter you left everyone in the dark and now you wanna talk"? ….Micheal kept quiet a while waiting for the rant to end then Lucas finally could get the hold of himself and said "now you can speak" as he waited patiently for Micheal to make his point. "Lucas my man, a lot has changed, I heard about your accident with the grizzly bear" it didn't take long before Lucas interrupted him again and said "Micheal, I deserve an explanation, a logical one at that, do not patronize me, I know you didn't call because I was attacked by the grizzly bear you f*****g bastard" Lucas quickly took a jab at Micheal again.

"Fine, Lucas I have to apologize to you in person, I can't say all that over the phone," Micheal said, "so where in the name of Zeus butthole are you, Lucas asked in a rather aggravated tone waited for Michael's reply " can you please come to your door please," Micheal asked in a rather polite tone, as Lucas began to rant again, " I said it that you are a nutcase, I told my mum and my dad back then and not one person believed, why didn't you just say you were by my door all this while said as he picked the bed phone and called the Gerald one of the butlers in the house to see Micheal into the vicinity as he made his way downstairs to see his blossom friend Micheal.

Lucas was already outside waiting to see his friend Micheal, Micheal had inherited a multi-billion dollar real estate company from his late father, it was from his company that I got this house I live in, Micheal has done extensively well for himself until he suddenly disappeared and no one heard from him, some people said he died, others said he was imprisoned, while others said he was on the run from a Russian mafia group that he made a deal with and the deal did not go according to plans.

As Michael drove into the vicinity in his brand-new Lamborghini, dark and sleek at the same time, I knew this dude must have done the exact thing they said he did. The two friends hugged as Micheal looked expensive wearing a Gucci jacket and jeans, anyone could smell the luxury all over him, Micheal was not always like this but I think three years is more than enough to change a man's character.

Diamond bracelet and gold wristwatch, and fancy sneakers, Micheal completely lookssksslike a gangster. We both sat down and I didn't know what or where to begin to talk to Micheal, a lot seems to have changed, his looks and all.

"We thought you were dead, I thought you were dead" I went straight for the jugular. Micheal looked at me and said "I had to go, I had to disappear" he said "why! I was your friend, you were like ma brother, you know I got your back anytime" Lucas said as he continues" you broke my heart men" Lucas said as he looks at him. " I had to homie, I had to, it was best for the family," he said as Lucas quickly asked " what did you do and why are you here," Lucas asked frankly as he added " and I don't want you to lie to me".

Lucas said " I heard about what happened and I knew there was more" as eal sipped from his cup of tea " what do you mean"? Lucas asked "I mean there is more, you were not attacked by the grizzly bear, you were attacked by a werewolf," Micheal said and it was shocking to Lucas, "Michi you knew this how"? Lucas asked as he took a deep breath. Micheal smiled and brought out his cigarette and lighter and lit his cigarette and took a draw and said as the smoke continued to puff out of his mouth " for two years this motherfuckers been hunting me in their packs" Lucas watched as Micheal explained to him why he had to disappear and appear all of a sudden. Micheal also gave an account of how he heard about his accident. "It was all over the papers and the local news, you are famous, a billbillionaireireal said as he continued " you know the public will always be in your business, I saw the video on TV when they brought you out of the helicopter, I immediately recognized the jacket you put on, remember that jacket was mine, I gave you that jacket when you said you like it and I gave it to you," he said as he continued to smoke his cigarette while Lucas paid serious attention to see where Micheal was going to with all these.

"A werewolf attacked you because of that jacket you were putting on, my smell is still all over that jacket no matter how much you dry clean that jacket," Micheal said with so much certainty. "You know you look like me" Lucas objected "no I don't look like you, you look like me," Lucas said as Micheal added " how can that be when I am six months older than you," Micheal said as he refills his cup and smiled with his cigarette dangling from side to side " let us agree to did agree," Lucas said just to stop the coy argument.

Micheal moved towards Lucas and asked to see the injuries and after he did, he was " definitely a werewolf" Micheal said as he added " they are extremely fast" while Lucas adjusted the collar of his shirt. " I didn't even see anything, just to show you how fast the beast was, "Lucas said as he picks up his cup of tea and took a sip.

So Lucas asked, what is your story, what did you take from them, that made you disappear. " if I tell you then I will have to kill you" Micheal said as he laughed out loud " you are one sick bastard" Lucas said as they both laughed while Lucas repeated " I have to know man" Lucas added. "When the time insight man," Micheal said as he handed over his car keys to one of the servants to pick up his bag and take them inside. " I heard there is a party for you tonight"? Micheal asked with one of his hands around his frfriend'shoulder " how did you know about it" Lucas asked Micheal with a look on his face saying speak am listen. "People talk you know," Micheal said as the two made their way into the mansion.
