Once the holidays were over and Sam went back to school, she met with her coach and told her that she would probably no longer have any contact with “the rotten bastard” after telling him her secret. When she told Ms. Hamm about his reaction to her telling him, the coach was sorry Sam went through that but certainly not sorry that abusive scumbag was finally gone from her life. The season started again and there was little time to get the girls back into shape from their short break.
