Another Monday morning came and it was yet another week of school and practice. When at lunch, Sam noticed the number of other students at their table, turned to Kim and whispered, “Is it just me or do we have a bigger crowd here with us now?”
Kim let out a laugh and answered, “You are a star now so get used to it.” Sam frowned since she was not a fan of attention or so many people near her. Trust still wasn’t easy with her, so it was better just to keep everyone at a distance. As she thought about it, Janie and Meri were the only ones who she allowed close to her, as she even kept Kim at a certain distance.
