The next day at school when Janie saw Sam in the lunchroom, she trepidatiously came over and sat down across from her when suddenly Sam asked, “Why are you sitting here with me, don’t you know what people will think about you?”
As Janie took out her lunch, began to eat and asked, “So what? I am not worried what small minded idiots think.” Sam was very cautious as to why suddenly one of her teammates was sitting with her and she silently questioned just what exactly did she want from her. The two chatted about school or the team and even though she was somewhat distrustful, she spent the rest of lunch talking with Janie.
