The leaves, they tumble to the ground. Once more Autumn"s amber eyes Cast a long and thoughtful look around. Between Summer, full of life, And Winter, hidden and dead, The loving arms, dying, Keep silent what needs to be said. The rustling leaves mask the sound And protect us from the lies As we to truer hearts are bound, And try to cast off our thin disguise.
