CALISTA’S POV
I was so upset and I hoped he would let me go. I tried to think of something to do but nothing crossed my mind. After what seemed like forever, it finally kicked. Even though every other plan I made to escape, a particular one crossed my mind and I knew and was certain this new one was going to work.
I let out a sigh and tried to be as calm as possible. Pretending was no so easy but I knew I could pull it off.
“Is anyone in there?” I called, trying so hard to act like I was sick. I pretended to have a frown etched to my face. A maid walked into the room almost immediately, concern evident in her eyes. She looked so concerned as she watched me sit on the floor and bury my head in my palms.
