LOGAN’S POV
After the encounter with my dad and everything that happened, including that of Jace, I returned to my room and the doctor was right in there, waiting for me. The moment he sighted me, he stood up and bowed before letting out a sigh.
I halted at the entry way as I looked at them all; the guards, the maids and everyone around. I could see the fear evident in their eyes even though they tried to hide it. I could smell their fear and worry. I could see their judgey gazes on me including that of the guards. I could tell they had all agreed to work with me for the gear or being killed not because they cared about me or wanted to admit the wickedness and atrocities my father had been committing which they definitely turned a blind eye to.
