CALISTA’S POV
“Strip.” Keisha said, the hair straightener dancing in her hand.
“Please, Please..i didn’t mean to. I didn’t..”
“Pick a place where I should run this mark to your body and I'll let you be, Calista. If you can’t, then let Keisha and Asher start with you.” He said, his back still turned at me.
I narrowed my eyes to Keisha, immediately going on my knees. I collapsed both of my hands together as tears pooled my eyes. My body was still on fire from the one Kayla and my uncle did yesterday. If I had more, I would not survive. I don’t think I would survive it, “Please, Keisha. Please..”
But I knew the Devil had no ears. She rushed to me and grabbed my hair, doing her familiar mark by tugging it down. She dragged me with my hair and my knees scraping the floor, my body burning and registering the new pain before stopping at where she wanted to plug the hair straightener.
“I’ll give you another chance, Where do you want me to draw this to your face, CAlista?” I heard Logan say again.
“Remove your clothes, Lista,” Keisha said in her sweet voice, her face full with smiles, “It’s not going to hurt much.”
I shook my head, “Please Keisha, just this once..
The rest of the words hung in my throat as she slapped me, my head revolting to the side. “If I hear a single word from your mouth again, I'll make this worse.”
I clenched my jaw, feeling a sudden wave of anger and grabbed the pen on one of the desks. I didn’t care at that moment where it was going to land, where i was going to hurt her. All i did was throw the weight around my hand with the pen and stick it to Keisha.
The whole class went to an uproar as the tiny thing jabbed and pierced into her arm, blood pouring out immediately. She yelled out in pain, flinging the straightener in her arm to hit the back of my neck as I pulled the pen out. Asher rushed towards her immediately, placing his arm around the place i had pierced while i stood up from my knees, my entire body in a fit of fear.
I moved backwards from all of them, pushing back at Asher and Keisha, and even the monster himself. My eyes were wide open as I pointed my pen to their faces, more as a threat. I grabbed one chair and placed it in front of me to block them from approaching me. My eyes were fully open and aware of every place that surrounds me. The back of my neck was still burning in pain from where Keisha had used the hot hair straightener to hit me, and I knew already that it would turn into a scar. I watched them all with shock in their eyes, shock that for the first time in eternity, i was fighting back, and it was not because i wanted to fight back but merely because my entire body was in so much pain and i could not allow anymore to be inflicted upon me.
I had tried to explain, tried to beg for more time for them to do anything to me. But none of them wanted to hear, they just wanted to put more pain on me. Why? Why the f**k do they think that they can always do that? Treat me like I am nothing and cause me so much pain!
“If you drop that pen now, i would spare you and make this less painful, Calista but if not,”
“What!” I yelled back at him, tears stinging my eyes.
I hated the way he called my name in full and made it sound so gorgeous. I hated that I followed him yesterday. To be bullied by Asher and Keisha was something I had learned, something I was used to already, but now with him, I just can’t. My body just could not.
“Why! Why do any of you think that you can just treat me anyhow! Why do I have to strip in front of the entire class! Why do you put me in so many problems! Why! I’m just a girl like you.” My eyes met with Keisha before continuing, “I didn't ask for the hair or the eyes, I asked for none of it! WHy do you have to make me feel so awful and so bad and so undeserving of anything!”
The tears rolled down my cheeks, and I didn't care whatever they might take it to mean, “Please. Please let’s do this another day, let's do it tomorrow. Beat me all you want tomorrow, but not today. Please.” I said, my eyes darting towards the three of them.
I landed on Logan’s face, pleading with my eyes while he just stared at me back with amusement in his black orbs. He moved forward immediately, stopping in front of the chair I had put to block them from me, “Do you think i’m scared of an ordinary pen, Calista?”
“An ordinary pen would hurt you if wielded well.” I said in response.
The amusement on his face grew, a huge grin lifting his bruised cheeks, “And do you think you can wield an ordinary pen against me, Calista? All i need is push you back and slam your head to a wall and you’re defenseless, and what would an ordinary pen do then?”
“What it did to Keisha.” I managed to reply, glancing at Keisha's bleeding arm before meeting his eyes again.
I watched Logan push away the chair that was blocking our path from each other, leaving no barrier between us again. He stepped a foot further in my way, my chest now brimming with fear, “Calista, I've always thought you’re a good girl.”
“Do not step towards me!” I growled out, glancing back and forth from my back to him.
I needed to run away from here, to find somewhere to run to. I was able to harm Keisha, but this devil. It would only take one jab to his body and yet I would be put down badly.
“Drop the pen, and I'll let you be.” He warned again.
I contemplated between dropping it or taking my stance, how was I sure he wouldn’t harm me even after dropping it? What made his words so believable? He wanted to hurt me, he might as well do it after. I gritted my teeth, shaking my head negatively at him, “I”m not dropping it and if you move one more step towards me, i would hurt you, badly!” I said shakily.
I had no idea how he was so fast, or how he came in contact with me so easily. My face crumpled up with pain as my back made contact with the wall, and his hand wrapped forcefully around my throat. The pen had fallen from my hand, and there was nothing to guard myself against him. He was so close to me, nope…he was close to me with no space between us. His eyes glaring hard at me, his breath fanning against my face and something else running between us.
It was like a different kind of awakening, something I had never felt before in my life, an urge, a kind of electricity fueling every desire that was numb in me. At that moment, he was ravishing, delicious and his smell was so stuffed in my nose that made me want to badly touch and take him. It was just me and him, so close to each other, breathing down on each other and with a realization that our heart now knows of but our mouths yet to say.
I watched as the glare in his eyes turned to something more of the realization, surprise and suddenly his lips moved, “It’s you.” He muttered.
And although I was in shock, I was also in denial because it could not be. My new tormentor could not be the one that’ll awaken every desire in me, even my wolf. It could not be this monster in human clothing, the rumored cursed alpha prince, and the soulless human of the pack.
I shook my head as fast as I could, “No…It can’t be..You can’t be..
And he ended it for me, in a whisper just between the two of us, “You’re my mate..”
