THE ASRAM

Like you, I was also born on Friday and in MOOL month. Which was considered to be a rare combination. I still remember about the story of my birth which my father told me. The moment I took birth, an astrologer was called upon, as per the tradition of Indian sages. After looking at my Horoscope, there was palpable tension seen on the face of the astrologer. He started sweating, his mouth dried up as if he saw something dangerous. My father asked the astrologer “what happened?”

The astrologer was still looking into my horoscope. He took a long breath and said “your son will have immense power and capabilities. He will defeat the most powerful energy of the universe. He will be the follower of truth and saviour of the victims. He will provide them with justice. Indeed he will be the only person of the universe to take his stand against anyone, even the three holy figures. ” astrologer stopped a bit and again took a deep breath and whispered “but I am afraid, people would not like him much. He will be an underdog. They will never realise his real potential. ”

There was a silence for a while. After this momentary silence, my father told “still I am happy, I don’t want glories. I am happy about the fact that my child has unique capabilities and no matter what, I will always have a respect for his powers, even if the whole world opposes him.”

Soon, I became a teen. As per the culture, every individual needs to go to school in the forest. Away from the parents and learn different aspects of life. We use to call our school as ASRAM. There were different ASRAMS around but the best one was run by Angarishi. He would not allow everyone in his hostel. There was a tough selection process to be his disciple. I always dreamed to become his disciple and for that, I started practising for the screening process.

Like in your entrance exam, one can become perfect after lots of practice but it was not true with the selection process of ASRAM. No matter how much practice you do, it is your sheer characteristics and psychology that will give sail you through. There was no definite process it was all spontaneous and anything under the sun can be tested.
