The One True Luna

"It's one week before my eighteenth birthday, and my family is truly driving me insane. I can not handle another 'what dress are you going to wear?' argument with my mother or my aunts. I will kill them." I whine on the phone to my cousin Lexi, as I get ready for afternoon training. Even though I can't participate in sparring my father still expects me to at least run and exercise with the pack until I gain my wolf in five days. "Why not just come here? I'm sure Robert wouldn't mind having you stay at the pack house for a few days with us." Lexi says non shalantly. If we were face timing right now I'd be screwed because the moment she said his name I felt my heart start to race and my face turn four different shades of red. Goddess I hate that even after knowing him for thirteen years the mere mention of Robert's name could still get me flustered. "A-are you sure?" I ask. I know he's still kind of salty about having to take over as Alpha without his Luna. He is twenty four almost twenty five and has yet to find his mate. He takes his anger out on a lot of the pack members including Lexi who is is step sister. "I will ask, but I don't see it being a problem. Besides he actually likes you." She replied half joking, but I could still hear some of the snark behind her words. "Okay ask and see. I need to get away from this nonsense and it will give us all a chance to skate we haven't done that in years." I say kind of excited hoping Robert would say yes to me going down there for a few days.
