"I simply will never be as good as ichika will I?!" Kan ken screamed throwing another glass to the wall . "No one ever said that. Once again your just being a brat." Ichika said calmly. "Shut up I wasn't talking to you." He yelled he then turned quickly to his parents, Touka and Kaneki. "Isn't that right dad?! Isn't that right?!" He turned to Touka , his mother who was also in a very calm mood. "Your 17 kan ken but yet you are still acting like a 5 year old. You keep getting yourself in problems that ichika keeps pulling you out of, this is the last time I'm going to say it we send you to school to learn stop skipping it." "What is the f*****g point of going to school we are ghouls remember." He said rudely. "Listen kan your mother is right you should listen to her. She and I went to school and-. "And what? Huh? How did that help you in any way dad you got mom pregnant before she can get a diploma." He chuckled bitterly "kan!" Touka screamed. "No! You...you need to realize that your a monster. We all are monsters." He stared at kaneki with disgust "especially you." Kan ken stood there for a little longer then ran out the door. Kaneki had a blank face it wasn't like he was surprised at kan ken's out burst he was now used to his sons tantrums. But what would always get him was his sons hate for him or kan kens drastic change from when he was young. "Do you want me to follow him?" Ichika said putting on her butterfly mask. "No don't follow him. Let him get some space first." Kaneki said. "What does he need space for? He's just a brat." Ichika said annoyed "Ichika listen to your father."Touka scolded. " "Fine." Ichika slumped in her chair. She was always her parents best she knew everything and anything she never acted up, never talked back, she never did things normal kids did, because she wasn't a normal kid... she was a ghoul. But despite that she couldn't understand why kan was always being so complicated she couldn't figure out why he changed so much. Ichika closed her eyes. Outside of the cafe was kan kicking pebbles that wouldn't fly far but near him just how he likes it. "I don't need them anyway." He grumbled. it was cold almost freezing but he didn't care he needed to be far away from his family as possible or he might just kill them. I mean he could Kan ken was probably the most powerful ghoul in the 23rd ward and he knew it. He sat down on a bench with air flowing out of his mouth from the cold. Kan ken always uses his one eye to his advantage especially with catching his prey. Kan ken was feared by a lot of people especially because of who his father was. When he was 10 he lost intrest in what his parents wanted and what the world wanted and started learning what the world really was , he stopped focusing on school and more about how to protect himself. By the age of 13 he was able to destroy his sister at hand in hand combat then,Akira ,renji, and finally his own father kaneki. It took hard work sweat and blood a lot of it still today the words that slipped out of his fathers mouth was a shot to his heart. "I'm proud of you." Kan ken scooted away from his father. A ball hit the side of his face hard as his face moved from the impact. "What the f**k!" He yelled. Turning. To kill whoever had just done that but he stopped and with wide eyes. It was Araki, his cousin, more like a sister , she was the only one who could really make him smile, he loved her. "Hey i***t!" She yelled "what are doing over there." Kan ken looked at her, she was in her school uniform with groceries in her hand. He scoffed what was she doing with groceries it seemed questionable to him. She was walking over to him. Kan ken smiles at her happily walking towards him he can just remember the day she moved in with them it was the only memory he can Remember from beginning to end when he was about five. Akira didn't have any where to go because Akira's father ayato was sentenced to Cochlea for killing many humans all at once. Akira's mother was killed no one knew how. Akira was then sent to her aunt Touka when she was six she was lonely and afraid. "Kids this is Akira your cousin she will be staying with us for awhile make sure you treat her nice. " Touka said Akira hid behind her aunts leg. "Ichika will you please show Akira to her room please." Touka smiled. "Yes mommy " Ichika nodded. Ichika stepped up to Akira and held out her hand and graced a kind smile on her face " hey, My name is Ichika" akira looked up and gave a shy smile and finally took Ichikas hand. The whole time young kan stared his eyes followed Ichika and akira as they walked out of the cafe. He then followed. "Uh uh uh."Touka said he turned around "you are staying with me." She pointes next to her . He sighed "okay." Later that day kan was trying to use the bathroom. He tiptoed out of the bedroom in his dinosaur pjs and began walking down the hallway until he heard sniffling and whimpering coming from the new girls room. He cracked the door opened and took a peak And saw akira on the bed crying and wiping her eyes over and over again. "Why are you crying?" He asked concerned. Akira stopped and looked at him and quickly began to wipe her tears. "It's nothing sorry" she said kan tilted his head and said "it gotta be something nobody cries for nothing." She looked at the small boys smart comeback. "I'm just sad." She said holding the pillow to her stomach. "Why?" He asked getting more closer to her, "my names kan ken by the way." He gave a smile that shocked her. "I'm akira." She whispered. "I know that already my mom told me remeber?" He asked. Akira smiled. "Yea" she said. "Now tell me what's making you sad you can talk to me." He smiled. He walked over and sat beside her on the bed and stared at her big eyes. "It's just that... I miss my daddy I miss him so much I want him back with me." She said closing her eyes and putting her face into the pillow. "Where did your daddy go?" Kan questioned she looked at him "I don't know they just took him away. I think they put him in a bad place." She looked down. "Will you go find him?" Kan asked "yes when I'm big I will go find him and those people will get killed." She said, Kan gave a closed eye smiles . "I think that's a great idea akira." Akira smiled as well. "Pinky promise that you'll go and find your daddy when your big." He held out his small pinky . "I...I ..I promise." She stuttered. She had a smile on her face. The same kind one that she gave every single person on this earth she was a pure soul. She was the only person he wasn't mean to. He wouldn't allow anyone to mistreat her nor his friend who are repeatedly trying to get with akira. Thinking about it he knew she was never going to find her father or kill the people. She was far to weak, if she wanted to accomplish that goal he would need to come with her. It was the truth. Promises are always meant to be broken anyways. He grew older and wiser and saw the truth in all the lies his parents kept from him. Akira on the other hand still didn't realize what was happening she was still a child in some way .she was naive. And he liked that about her he wanted to shield her away from the pain in what she really was. "Helllloooo" she said waving at his face "Yea sorry." He apologized smiling. "Sorry about that ball I thrown at you. You looked so mad I thought that would light things up." She said "no it's ok I mean it's you, if it was anyone else I think I'd probably snap them in two." He ruffled his white hair. "Yea yea we know your the big bad wolf." She rolled her eye s "anyways WHATS wrong I know you only sit on this bench when your mad at your family." She looked at him "nothing," he whispered "uh oh it must be something, what happened this time...kan ken you can trust me."
