"Yes, over and over again, thanks, but we won't ask for forgiveness," Laura said curtly.
They just thanked us.
"Alright then!" But my stomach still hurt.
So I turned my back on them and lifted my shirt. I had a bruise.
I quickly lowered my shirt when Crimson walked in front of me.
"Wait, is that a bruise?!" Sharlene exclaimed.
"Let me see!" They lifted my shirt.
"It's okay, it's just a bruise," I said and lowered my shirt.
The two looked at me sharply, so I returned their sharp look and turned away from them. As we were about to walk away, we fell through the ground.
Wait! Is this a cave?
We looked at the light that provided illumination until it disappeared. The ground closed.
"We'll find a way to get you out of there!" Sam shouted as the ground completely closed.
It was dark, so we took out our flashlights.
"Where are we?" Crimson asked.
"It's like a cave. There might be monsters here, look at all the holes," Sharlene said.
Indeed, there were many holes. We saw a path and walked towards it. There was almost no light except from our flashlights.
We heard a noise, so we turned off the flashlights until we saw many people who seemed to be having fun, like there was a band on stage.
"What is this, a party in a cave?" I wondered aloud.
We were on an upper level while they were below, waiting by the stage. There were band instruments there, and they were all shouting.
"J10! J10! J10!"
"J10!!! COME OUT!!"
"KYAAAAHHHH! WE LOVE YOU!!" they screamed.
This seemed just like the mortal world. J10 must be a band. Ten people came out on stage—seven men and three women. The crowd went wild.
"KYAAAHHH! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!"
"KYAAAHHH! THEY'RE SO HANDSOME!!"
I looked closely at the ten people.
"They look familiar, like I've seen them in the mortal world," Sharlene said.
"Me too. Could they be the famous band from the mortal world, also called J10?" Crimson added.
We were startled when the rock we were standing on crumbled.
BOOOM!
CRASH!
Ouch! I grabbed my butt as we fell.
"Ouch! My hips hurt!" Sharlene said.
"Why did we fall?!" Crimson exclaimed.
We felt everyone staring at us. We stood up and dusted ourselves off.
Almost everyone was looking at us. The three of us exchanged glances.
"What did we do?" Sharlene asked.
"I don't know, but those stares are intense," Crimson said.
They looked away when the drummer started playing again, and the noise resumed.
What was that? Just like that?
We were looking for a way out when I bumped into someone.
"Watch where you're going!" they snapped. Since I was bent over, I looked up at them.
Whoa! So tall.
Who is this person?
"Staring is rude," they said.
"I'm not staring at you," I replied emotionlessly and walked past them.
"Who was that arrogant guy?" I wondered aloud.
"There are a lot of handsome guys in this world," Crimson remarked.
We sat on the floor when someone bumped into us, drawing all attention towards us. The J10 band had finished performing.
This feels just like the mortal world. They didn't bump into us; they did it intentionally.
They laughed at us with heavily made-up faces. We stood up, but as we tried to walk past them, they pulled our arms and pushed us, causing us to fall face-first on the ground.
"Hahahahahaaa!" They laughed again.
We tried to stand, but they stepped on our stomachs, making us lie down completely.
"s**t! What's their problem?!" Sharlene exclaimed.
"You're so weak! Hahahaa!" one of them said.
They removed their feet, so we stood up and looked at them as if nothing happened. Everyone around us watched.
"What are you looking at?! Should I pluck your eyeballs out?!" one of them said.
"Don't just talk, do it," Sharlene said with a grin.
One of them tried to rush at us but was stopped by a companion.
I approached the girl who threatened to pluck our eyeballs. I grabbed her collar and lifted her. She was obviously shocked and turned pale because she was almost being strangled.
Another one tried to grab my hair, but Crimson pulled her hair and threw her down, causing her to writhe in pain on the floor, which Crimson then sat on while yawning.
The third one tried to kick me, but Sharlene blocked it and broke their arm, making them fall face-first on the floor with Sharlene stepping on them. Sharlene looked at me over the woman's back.
I smiled, making them gasp.
"You messed with the wrong girls," I said with a grin.
"A-are you trying to scare me?!!" she said.
"No," I replied, releasing her collar and dusting her off, which confused her.
SLAP!
I slapped her, making her fall to the floor, unconscious.
"What happened here?!!" someone shouted, parting the crowd.
It turned out to be J10, the arrogant guy I bumped into earlier.
Why didn't I notice that?
They looked at the ones we knocked down and widened their eyes. Crimson and Sharlene approached me.
One of the men was about to speak when we turned away. Someone grabbed my shoulder tightly and faced me.
I didn't mind the pain of their grip on my arm.
It was already red, for sure.
(CRIMSON'S POV)
So many busybodies here!
Someone grabbed my arm, so when they faced me, I immediately kneed them in their privates, making them double over and kneel.
"Don't touch me, asshole," I said lifelessly.
They started whispering again.
"What a waste of time," Sharlene said.
"Hey! Who are you to hurt them?!!" shouted someone watching.
"What kind of users are you to hurt them?!!" shouted another.
They helped the person I kneed to stand.
"You castrated him," Sharlene said.
"He's so weak."
"ANSWER US!!!" they all shouted.
We answered in unison.
"Nothing," we said uninterestedly.
They fell silent, then burst out laughing.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!" they laughed.
They stopped laughing when Sharlene grabbed a man by the collar.
"We have nothing of what you have, but we have hands that can take your lives. Do you want to try?" Sharlene grinned.
The man turned pale. Sharlene tossed him aside.
"TRIPLETS?!! WHERE ARE YOU?!!" someone called out.
We climbed onto a table, surprising them.
"WE'RE HERE," I said.
They ran towards us.
"We thought something happened to you," Diana said.
We got off the table.
"It's a miracle...your behavior has changed," I said coldly.
"I talked to them. Sorry for what they did," Sam said.
Why is everyone's attention on us?
"Sorry for our behavior, and thanks for removing the bomb from Sam," Roselia said.
They started whispering again.
Diana and the others widened their eyes as they looked at J10.
"So you're here," Velmrr said.
"Wait, I'm confused...what bomb?!! Sam had a bomb?!!!" a girl asked, shocked.
"How did that happen? Only James can plant a bomb...wait! Did you fight them, Sam?!!!" another girl asked, shocked.
"Cut that crap...do you really want to discuss this...in public??" Xian said.
They snapped out of it.
"Let's get out of here," Laura said.
We followed while they talked to J10, probably telling stories.
They occasionally glanced back at us until we finally got out.
We squinted as the sunlight hit our eyes.
The town greeted us, and behind it was a gate. That must be it.
"That's the gate to the kingdom," Venus said.
"It's beautiful here," I heard Gholyx say.
I looked at them, seemingly embracing the wind.
Our position was on a cliff, and we could see it from above.
Gholyx closed their eyes and looked at me. Too bad they still had no emotions and couldn't smile.
I discreetly tapped their shoulder so Diana wouldn't notice.
I looked back at the town.
"It's beautiful," Crimson, Sharlene, and I said.
"Let's go," Laura said.
We started walking. We were still at the top of the mountain, and the path was narrow. If we weren't careful, we would fall.
The path was wide enough for only one person, so we had to be extra careful.
I quickly pulled Sam back when the ground under her feet crumbled, and she almost fell. She almost hugged me, but Sharlene supported her.
Xian was at the back, along with J10. They knew each other.
We looked up as large boulders started rolling down. We started running.
"AAAAHHH!" they screamed.
Everyone fell, including us, until something big caught us—an eagle.
I knew Sharlene had summoned the eagle.
The eagle dropped us on the ground and flew back up.
"We didn't even ask who helped us," Roselia said.
They faced us.
"You probably don't know them yet. They are J10. Ace is the leader, followed by Spade, Kurt, Cheeska, Cuesha, Jude, Drake, Jim, Jedon, and Dia," they introduced.
" They are triplets from the immortal world... This is Sharlene, or Yellow as she is called, and Crimson, or Red, and the eldest, X, or Blue," Venus said.
We just nodded.
"Wait, really? You don't have any powers?" Jude asked.
"They don't have powers? Maybe they just haven't come out yet," Sam added.
"Not yet," I replied.
We read their minds and they were thinking we were weak.
They started walking, and we just followed.
We stayed quiet while they talked.
"What's your rank?" I asked.
"Green," they replied.
Ahh.
We continued until we reached Peldia Village.
This was the town we saw just earlier. We walked towards the gate.
The guards stopped us and let them in while scanning us.
But the scanner malfunctioned, which puzzled them, so they just let us in.
